    It's not about the case he's in or the seriel killer he's persue but, it's about himself who cares to much. This movie is so brilliant

    Fun fact: in 1988 they also released the films, Cop Game and Maniac Cop. It was a good year for police themed movies.

      Shakedown was the US title. 1988. Sam Elliott 🚔 ... I think Fatal Beauty came out: 1987.

    An unexpected sequence of events that is not logical aims to overshadow and dim the logic, and that is where the alibi lies, because if something is not expected, it is calculated that it cannot happen, and that is exactly what happened. The main character did not allow himself to be deceived and solved the case. An excellent thriller from 1988.

    Pellicola davvero stupenda, coinvolgente per tutta la durata con il bravo attore che interpreta il protagonista, la scena finale è davvero fatta ottimamente con la tensione che cresce sempre di più.

    • @Lalfy
      @Lalfy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The 80's had some of the most graphic movies of any time. The year this movie came out (1988) they released: Hell Raiser 2, Nightmare on Elm St 4, Halloween 4, Childs Play, The Blob, Poltergeist 3, and Killer Clowns from outer space. Plus dozens of other garbage. This movie was just trying to keep its head above water.

      @@Lalfy Plus, the book it was based on was graphic too. Depicts a dude being raped by his bully, people being shot and chopped to pieces.

    You've got to be puttin' me on?!
    James Woods as a tough... anything, is beyond nonsense.
    I had to think back a long, long time to remember a movie or television show that I actually liked his character...
    Just once, and that was a movie where he played the civil rights lawyer defending a hate crime suspect.
    "Criminal Law"? 1988 or 1989?
    [Self Edit]
    And his pony tailed character was so indelible that I can't even remember the name of the film...

    • @plasticweapon
      @plasticweapon 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      he played tough guys for most of his career. your not liking his characters does not translate into that somehow not being the case. and he wasn't in "criminal law".

    • @kidmack3556
      @kidmack3556 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @plasticweapon
      Let's see, beginning sometime in the early 70's when I first remember seeing him...
      He played a slimey heroin junkie/thief on "Kojak", and a weasely bank officer that James Caan's character picked up and shook like a little kid who wouldn't eat his vegetables in the one and only, the original "The Gambler" (1973)
      Then he played the cowardly Vietnam veteran who set up his hero veteran best friend for murder in "Eyewitness" (1981) he played
      the milqtoast husband in Stephen King's "Cat's Eye" (1983) who wouldn't stop smoking, which subsequently caused his wife to be electrocuted with shock and then mutilated...
      I CAN keep going after a quick look at his resume.
