I was trying to turn on my PC after a long time of not being able to use it. When I pushed the power button my PC would beep and then turn off but my fans were still running. I ran into this video and it helped a lot. I personally was very scared to even open the side panel and mess around with the stuff INSIDE, but let me tell you! It was not hard!!! once I got inside my PC, I removed both the battery and the sticks just to increase the chance of my pc turning on, cleaned them, and placed them back. My pc is now working and I’m enjoying it very much! Ty !!
i upgraded to 16x2 32gb ram today and it was fine and then i upgraded from a 2600 to a 5600 aswell and hasnt booted since :/ Suuper frustrating. Im hoping i can just do some more ram wizardry to make it work but its bleak. im hoping to not have to use my old cpu

@@greerange Turns out i had a differnet problem , solved it , my pc works fine now but yeah when i tried this it wouldnt even turn on anymore, but sience it works now i guess no components were damaged

Great video, very informative, yeah right! there are lots of factors why a PC won't display even if it turned on. The most common part is RAM memory corrosion. Overtime the memory or ram of your PC becomes corroded, and when it is corroded, the PC won't output any display. That's why you have to uplug it from the board and clean it using any pencil eraser, but be sure no to touch the copper side (the color gold) to avoid possible damage on the ram. There's a lot of other factors like the motherboard if it's defective, it won't give any display and also the power supply if it's defective even if it powered on but it's already deteriorated due to old age and cannot provide enought amper to the processor, board, memory or the monitor itself it cannot give any display.

@@ROLLINS101 Ummm.... u have to open ur cpu and just clean that silver battery and clean the cabinat of cpu, then take out the ram and clean it with a clean cloth and re insert it..... This trick worked for my computer hope it would work fkr your computer also.

Things to check first 1. RAM or RAM slot 2. CPU [ if your VGA is connected to motherboard, you have to make sure that your cpu have INTEGRATED GRAPHIC in it ] or graphic wouldnt appear. 3. GPU or VGA on GPU slot
its probably the ram guys like 90% of the time push it in really hard untill you hear the latch click that fixed it for me after traveling with my pc for over 12 hours

@@MartaMarinkovic It wont, but I would suggest simply unplugging everything from the back of your pc and hold down the power button for a full 1 minute, thats what worked for me. Havent experienced a black screen in over a week so far and before it was 50-50. You could also do that while the GPU is removed and clean out any dust just to be safe then proceed to discharge for a full minute.

Had this exact problem after re-installing Windows, the display was new, my Gfx card was an old refurbished model I was going to replace it. I tried your method of re-setting the BIOS and bingo, it worked my display came back to life. Many thanks for this tip, it saved me a lot of money, there was nothing wrong with my Gfx card. @@bollylone3818 I opened up the PC case. Popped out the silver button battery using a plastics implement. I waited about ten seconds and put the battery back in again. When I booted it up again I had the monitor image back again. I can't guarantee this method will work for you but it is certainly worth a try!

One weird thing that's helped me a few times is having a second cable to plug in...I just got finished swapping a power supply out and everything was working fine with one cable prior, I was only upgrading.. After I put the new PSU in, I turned the PC on and the display worked for a split second but then went black, I tried everything in the videos..but when I swapped the cable it worked just fine...I know the other cable isn't broke too...This has happened to me at least 3 times with this type of motherboard. Maybe this is someone else's problem too, so figured I'd post a comment. Hope I helped.

Was upgrading from a 1600 to a 5600.
I cleaned my RAM slightly, didn’t use an eraser, and swapped the two slots. Booted. Thanks for the vid.

I also found that changing RAM slots fixed my issue completely. When I moved my RAM to slots 2 & 4, it finally worked.
