  • In this video i go over how to test a bakers pride pizza oven thermocouple and what voltages you're suppose to be producing to keep the pilot lit.
For my guys out there, this unit takes a P#M1296x
Thanks for watching. I'll be uploading more videos. Have fun doing restaurant repairs and still be professional.

I have a baker pride pizza oven, they have a high flame and it does not go low, I have to regulate it manually, what could it be?

Great video! I have a bakers pride deck 151 and can't get the temp about 300F when I normally cook at 600F. When I adjust the temp, the flame reach normal height for about 3 seconds when adjusting the temp and drops down. Any troubleshooting ideas to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

      Sorry, I've never worked on a 151.

Thanks for the video. I have an old Blodgett double deck oven. The pilot light occasionally goes out. Is that due to a faulty thermocouple? Holding down the pilot safety button doesn't always work. A technician said I needed to replace everything from the red button to the pilot light and thermocouple which would cost about $900. Can you explain more about the parts that work together to make that pilot light stay on? Can you make a video explaining how to replace a thermocouple? TIA!

Unfortunately since I'm not the tech on the job I can't help you. Old ovens often have obsolete parts and do require conversion kits which aren't cheap. If replacing the parts that your tech recommends fixes the problem, then it'll be money worth spent.

Unfortunately I'd have to take apart the unit and test it to see what's going on. Best bet is to call out a tech to find the issue for you.

You have to put the pizza in the exact same spot after you spin if it's burning bottom and your not spinning it might be to high the terms stat inside the oven is not taking the right temp so it's telling the oven it's higher than u have it set so could be cooking at 650 when u have it set at 550 which 650 is a little to high
