My mother is European and my father is African and my hair is African. Because my mother couldn't handle my hair, she always cut my hair short as a child and now that I'm an adult I always wear extensions because I never learned how to deal with my hair. Now I have an unhealthy scalp and struggle with hair loss. This is my first time without extensions and I realize that I don't know or understand my hair at all. Your videos inspire me a lot and encourage me that there is a way to get beautiful, long, healthy Afro hair. Thank you for your videos. ❤️

How long do the big twists last before getting supper frizzy

Dear sister (@neslii) welcome to the natural hair community. There are plenty of videos that will help you. I just came across this channel because I love how authentic this woman is.

    • @Anonyme67
      @Anonyme67 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@eunicekayode30 usually after a week. But I actually find frizzy beautiful as it is part of our hair characteristics. But if you blow dry or do african threading before doing your twist it will last very long if water don’t touch it. If you have it done professionally it can last 3 weeks as long as water doesn’t touch it.

      @@eunicekayode30 I remoisturise once a week...so I redo my twists approximately once a week.

    1. Reduce use of hair extensions (so you can moisturize your ends regularly)
    2. Pen down your moisturizing routine
    3. Try wearing your natural hair more in in protective styles (2 strand twists, cornrows, plaits)
    4. Include herbal teas in your routine
    5. Be consistent with your routine

The first time I saw that video, I was so angry. It smells low self-esteem all over. I moved recently to Europe, and the first thing I noticed was that for whites, their hair isn't perfect the way we thought. And they don't mind if it's laid out perfectly or not, like the way we do. Embracing our natural hair, fluffy, curls, and all helps you be at peace with yourself, and you carry yourself with pride. It's not a demeaning venture but one of pride. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Cheers to a positive hair game change in 2024 ladies🎉🎉

Fantastic hair. Funnily enough I realised extensions were drying out and breaking my hair so decided 2024 I would let my hair be free. That clip of African women promoting Caucasian/ Asian type hair for black women is sad. We have been so brainwashed into not loving ourselves.
Thank you for your work. Blessings

I love your channel!! I have been wearing my natural hair for a few months now and have committed to not wearing any hair extensions all 2024. A wig maybe, but no crochet braids, single/box braids etc with extensions. And my hair is thriving just from that one change! I used to wear back to back for over a decade 🫠🫣! No more! cheers to nourishing my natural hair!!
Also… I can’t believe black/African woman fixed her mouth to say that! Our hair is regal! Of course we can wear our. Natural hair with expensive dress, “ears”, shoes and such!!! THE NERVE!!!!

This is the reason why I focus in on celebrities and how they look corrupt. Our culture. are black lovely culture. You don't see celebrities wearing their natural hair. they're always in some kind of wig. so much of the world so much of our black people look up to them. And think that is real beauty. I'm glad that this person is being called out because as a black person.
I love my black hair and I've been natural for over 5 years now. And I am so happy that I did that. Because I get more compliments on my natural hair than I did when my hair was relaxed.❤

Also when wearing Big twists, how long often do you wash your hair? In a month
Do you feel heat on your scalp at anytime? If yes how do you cope with this?

Love the hair and what you said. I will make an effort to make better healthy decisions for both my body and hair in 2024. Do you use clay masks?

I don't think there is a need for that. You can use one type or one combo in a month...the next month feel free to try another

Thank you so much for your tips!!! Just found your channel!! What were the 3 ways to use teas? I watched your 2 videos on drinking, and tea rinses, and missed the 3rd way
