You can visit also in Pangasinan my hometown. There are a lot of beaches you visit there, the food are good also, and nice people live there too. Hundred island, bolinao beach, apo manaoag church, urdaneta city.

husband again - when our house was built on Mactan Island, there were two shacks for the workers - they actually
cooked separately, did different jobs. and the CR was dug first. Took a jack-hammer because of the rocks in the soil.
Power is brought in from the closest pole. water brought in by truck until the water line is connected. When the 2nd
floor was ready to cement, the contractor brings in about 30 workers for that day. Cement mixer going, one sack of
cement, maybe one of rocks and 2 or 3 of sand. Mix up, and dump on the ground - start another batch while other
workers scoop the cement into buckets that are handed up to workers on the 2nd floor. this goes on until the entire floor
is finished. Then a big feast for the workers because that was a hard day.
Yeah, security guards with guns is a normal thing here in the Philippines. You go to public places such as schools, malls, etc. So they can protect people from imminent danger. Unlike here in the U.S, where Americans are so fixated with their 4th amendment. They’re willing to be selfish of their own privacy rather than seeking protection to their community as a whole.

Visit la mesa dam and watershed park and surroundings. Also, go to antipolo, you will get a good view of Metro Manila specially at night and it's also a lover's lane.
The last time i visited La Union was 1990 it wasn't so popular before now it's Over Price. If you drive all the way to North going to Vigan. The Coastal Highway is similar to California Pacific Coast Highway or Route 1. Take Care

By the way, There's nothing to see in Angeles City just the modern Clark New City that is better than BGC if they succeed in moving Foreign Businesses to Clark New City. They have the Olympic Stadiums for swimming, basketball, running etc.The best thing to do in Angeles City is to Eat The Best Sisig in the Philippines and Best Cooks in the Philippines are found Filipino version of French Chef my own humble opinion.

Angeles city is near to Clark airbase. It's an American military airbase. Been around since after WW2. It becomes a magnet for bars and young girls seeking American husbands and a quick ticket to the USA and a better life. Off duty military personnel are only too glad to seek companionship of the locals I suppose.
Don't know if you are aware but the Americans left in the 90s after being asked to leave by the government but once they left, China has been acting like a bully and harassing PH vessels and claiming territory in international waters as theirs. Therefore, the new PH President invited the Americans back and Americans were happy to return and now they have reoccupied the Clark airbase and Subic naval base and are even building 2 new airbases in the very tip of Luzon near to Taiwan. This is in preparation for a potential invasion of Taiwan by China. I think the US is determined to help Taiwan and keep it free of Chinese influence. China claims Taiwan as their territory and as a renegade province and any interference is unacceptable. So some shit might arise from all these happenings regarding Taiwan. I think China's behaviour is laughable. They even built fake islands near Palawan claiming them to be harmless islands for assisting any distressed vessels in the sea but they soon built runways and militarized them. Anyhow it's a long story.
