  • In this video, we'll show you how to fix land rover lr3 suspension problems using a simple DIY fix.
    If your land rover lr3 won't raise and the air suspension isn't working, then this fix is for you! We'll show you how to adjust the chassis and coil springs, and solve your suspension problems in just a few minutes! After watching this video, your land rover lr3 will be back to normal and you'll be able to enjoy the smooth ride again!
    Now my Lr3 will raise and lift up, I solved my Land Rover suspension problem in 3 easy procedures. First, I raised my lr3 and measured the height and then I check for any air leaking from the air struts. Next, I pull out the height adjustment fuse and let it stay overnight. Finally, I inspected the relief valve block.
    If your Land Rover Lr3 is low in the morning or it's rising slowly. Then, this video will solve or at least point you in the right direction in getting your Land Rover suspension fixed.

    I had been having the exact same issue! I had my LR certified mechanic watch this. He shook his head, laughed, and replaced the relief valve. He had run diagnostics, which DID NOT report a problem, and was able to show them to me. But this fixed it. One other issue that it was not was older Johnson rods ("...this little arm"..."), which can wear out. Land Rover, making mechanics out of owners for over 40 years! I love this thing.

      @@oxmanagain - My car went in on Thursday, this video came out, I saw it, and immediately forwarded it to my mechanic, because he was at wits end. I was in for an oil change and for him to check it over before an offroad road trip. I got the car back yesterday, measured it this morning... No change. This has been going on for almost a year. Thanks man! And, thanks for the Grappler G2 recommendation.

    Nice work on the video.
    Your height adjustment sensors are basically a variable resistor that tells the computer where the suspension is. If you have a Rover that has navigation, you can pull up the 4x4 menu, then watch each sensor as you raise and lower the vehicle. If you see any of the sensor locators jumping around, you have a bad ride height sensor on that corner. You will know which one is bad, because the other sensors will be moving smoothly throughout their operation while going up and down.
    Hope this helps someone!

    • @DirtyRottenBikes
      @DirtyRottenBikes 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@caspernoble9468 I will try. When the vehicle is on, you are inside, all of the doors are closed, set the vehicle to its highest position. (does it go up?) if it goes up, wait until it's at max height, then get out and listen at each wheel very closely and try to hear any air leaking (basically a hissing sound). If you hear air leaking (hissing noise) from a specific corner, you will want to get a spray bottle with soapy water mixed up in it, jack up the car (safely) pull the tire/wheel off of that corner then spray down the air connections to see if you see air bubbles, if no air bubbles, try spraying up into the rubber portion of the shock absorber, again look for bubbles. If you see bubbles at any one of these steps you will need to fix that before moving forward, as that is probably your issue.

    A great video. It's easy to get into procrastination when it comes to LR and RR suspension. Having just replaced the front air struts (157,00 miles - they were original parts) this just confirmed for me that there were no other problems. Simple and easy to follow and understand. Thanks.

    My L320 was down on n/s front . Set system to full height . Got out listened for a possible leak . Found it forward of the strut . Result wheel off splash guard off there it was dosed pipe. 2inches forward of the pipe push fit connection .. . Ordered a new connector. Taped up the pipe. It held height . Will change the pipe connector remove the damaged section as there's plenty to work with . Reconnect job done . I can't believe the amount of people talk rubbish about air sus. Its just not that complicated . In real terms its either compressor / condenser. Valve block, shock or pipes . Its worth the hassle for the ride quality . Most that slag off LR motors obviously don't have one . Yes somethings are a pain in the ass but not as expensive as the internet ney sayers would have you believe . Great videos buddy . Very informative keep up the good work 👍

    Great video sir. I am a new owner of a 2008 LR3, and started noticing that it was bowing to me every morning. Took it to a Land Rover specialist and was told I needed $2043 in new air bags. I had seen your channel before I bought the LR3 so I took my LR3 home and did my own testing. Put it in extended height mode, measured, let it sit for 14 hours, re-measured and had lost 3/4" all the way around. I am now doing the second test with the fuse removed. I am feeling very optimistic :) I will let you know my results.

That will also not let it drop.

    Great Land Rover videos! I've watched them all. Just recently had this same suspension issue and your video helped me diagnose the problem. However when I installed the replacement front valve block and started the engine the front suspension raised up fine but immediately started to lower. The compressor kept running and airing it back up but it wouldn't stay up. So I re-installed the old/original block and it aired up and stayed (until the next morning, as I had already diagnosed the slow leak) I guessing that the new block is faulty, as I've read from several amazon reviewers. But also wondering if it made a mistake on the installation. I did notice that the new block comes with new brass fittings. I didn't really know how to replace these so just ended up screwing the old/original ones directly into the new block. Could this have been the problem? I wouldn't think so as they seem to work fine on the original block. So I'm confused on how to proceed with fixing this issue. Thanks so much for your help!!

Same for the headmounts replacing the stock radio for LR3. There are models in the $200-300 range that are android/apple and have google maps/Bluetooth calls, and Spotify/apple music. Would cool to see you're take on it.

Then it’s hydraulic city if I try to drive at all lol so basically I read it’s a clogged exhaust muffler plug, drill a 3mm hole in it or buy one for about $70 online! • @oxmanagain
      @oxmanagain  ปีที่แล้ว

      The relief valves play a major part in the air suspension system. After that your height sensors come into play then your compressor. Obviously if the Rover is still up you don't have a leak in the airbags. What is the problem exactly? The more minds you put on this the sooner it can get fixed

      If you drive over 30 miles an hour you should automatically start to Lower. That's something I've never heard of being an issue. I would assume it is the height of Jasmine sensors that are causing the problem.

    if both fronts are lowering then generally its the front valve block if one side was badly dropped then air leak in shock or airline may be broken. the front block same as the rear is designed to send air independently to ether side. so instead of having 4 blocks for one each side of the car there is 3 front, middle, and rear...but in the block itself there is 3 valves 1 valve for left side 1 for right side and another valve for air to enter the block. best thing to do is change the block. then if its still lowering or air leaking check teh air bag/struct...if you think the height sensor with or without lift rods if 1 side was to lower the other side would follow and lower or higher. if not broken and what i mean is like if 1 side is dead on bump stop and the other side is at normal height. then that's obvious its a height sensor but in this case where 1 side is only dropping a little bit but other side is not then i would be changing air block. because that's the first thing to receive air from middle block first...so before the bags get air the blocks get it first.....hope this helps. i had the same problem with my discovery 3 but all 4 was dead on bump stops and after changing just the front air block i stood up and went hang on if all 4 are down then its gotta be middle block because thats the first block to receive air from the compressor, or its the compressor it self or 1 other thing, and there was literally 1 other thing ?.. i'll let you take a guess first
