I'm always surprised at how you make a small pie (or two small tarts) stretch to so many decent size slices... not sure how you do it. At the end there was still uneaten tart on the stove so I'm thinking perhaps you actually made more than the two we saw... ?????? It looks yummy and easy so might just be doing this one.

I thought the pear would be bland (I prefer Bosc pears) but I think the caramel really made it delicious. Everyone loved it! Sounds like a winner! Love when Mike closes his eyes-he really savors that first bite!

To take the tart pan apart, place a wide bottomed glass or small bowl upside down on the counter. Hold the pan as you set it down on the glass/bowl. The outer ring will fall to the countertop and your tart will rest on the bowl. ❤️ re: potato pie

How did the caramel hold up? I’m curious if it seeped through the bottom and got too dark? I have this problem when I bake with caramel.
We didn’t put it on until after it was done baking!
