Pie was my late husbands very favorite. In fact, one year when money was really tight, I wrapped up a pie plate for Christmas with a promissory note that I would bake him a pie every month for the year. He said that was his best present ever. I am actually making a meat and vegetable pie for supper tonight. I keep out two slices and then wrap the balance of the slices in and put them in the freezer. Then I just pull out a slice when I feel like for lunch or supper. Thanks for sharing your pie. Apple is my favorite fruit pie and I just love my peeler as well. Mix some cinnamon and sugar together and take those strings of peels, mix in the sugar mixture, lay out on parchment paper and bake until they are browned and crisp. Yum. Y'all have a Blessed day.

Oh Megan thank you for a month of joy! Please include some savory meat pies like Cornish Pasties, Shepherd’s Pie (lamb) or Cottage Pie (Beef), and Argentine chicken or ground beef (with green olives and raisins) or cheese Empanadas, Indian Samosas made vegetarian, or East African ground beef Samosas with peas and potatoes and hot peppers. As you can tell, I love savory pies! I also love Pecan pies and lemon meringue pies! And CHOCOLATE pie! I’m starving now!

I make a two crust chicken pie with chicken, potatoes, carrots, peas and onions. We serve it with brown gravy. My mum called it a dry pie. We also used to make a cheese and onion pie, it was usually for Saturday tea with a salad on the side. You're hands remind me of my Mums, always busy, moving confidently to create the most beautiful food for us. ❤🥧

We have some great Meat Pies here in Australia. All our bakery’s have small Meat Pies which have lots of great flavours ( Steak, Meat n Cheese, Chicken, Potato topped pie) Yummmmm. Loved your slinky apple cutter which we also have a green one and it was the only way to get my Granddaughter to eat apples when she was little. Your Apple Pie looked amazing and I remember learning to cook them with my Grandmother…great memories.

If you ask someone to get you a pie in Australia, you would be handed a minced beef pie. We do love our savory pies and we have a lot. Tuna pies are good and basically just a thick mornay cooked in a pie crust. Another good pie is a "Bushranger" also known a "Ned Kelly" pie, which is the normal minced meat (beef) in gravy with a whole egg and sliced tomato between the meat and top crust.

Mmmmmmm pie. My favorite is pecan. I make a quiche every week and eat it for breakfast. I use ham, onion and tomato. Of course I add cheese, duh. And I just started seasoning my crust. My current favorite to add to my crust is taco seasoning. I add about a teaspoon or so. I don’t measure.
