    I love watching these old Brett videos cause I love him so much and it's interesting to see when he's been so horribly wrong. He's already made new videos talking about how wrong he was but it's still intriguing to listen to his arguments for the bad players and against the good ones.

    • @baltazarfranco9747
      @baltazarfranco9747 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      With Brock playing, Kizer will learn off his mistakes...which are plentiful!! Personally, if the offensive line is doing a decent job of protecting Brock and while not shitting the bed, he may be sharting in it, then put Kizer in there. If the offensive line isn't doing Brock any favors than just leave him there until the line is competent enough to protect the quarterback.

    It's interesting to watch this after the season. On the surface, it appears you completely misread the QB class. Watson was amazing whilst Kizer failed to win a game. Yet I think it really shows that it is impossible to read a rookie outside of a real NFL game.

      I was hoping for the same thing, I was thinking you could do one after the Jets next game tomorrow, but I agree and now think doing another evaluation on Hackenberg at the end of the preseason would be better. Especially hearing his thoughts on his previous errors as a QB and what he thinks that Hackenberg has done to correct them, and if he has corrected them. If you were to do this Brett I'd wager to guess us Jets fans would greatly appreciate it.

    Really glad to see this topic come up and agree in general. They all looked like they had come on a bit from college (except Mahomes as it was so hard to compare).
    I have to say that I'm still sceptical on Watson though. I think his accuracy is all over the place, not just on the long throws but the short ones too. Sure, he'll complete them but so often he'll put it in the wrong place for the receiver to get YAC. I had him as a late second/third round kind of guy, along with Kaaya. The one thing in his favour that you didn't mention is his general poise - he had bags of it. Just looked like he loved playing and trying to win. I'm not saying he's a bust or anything - but I think that the accuracy will be really hard to overcome.
    And that's why I'm thrilled that my team has the brilliantly accurate Trubisky for the future. Whatever kind of throw he was making - running left, right, from the pocket - he was putting the ball exactly where it needed to be. I do think that the mental side of the game isn't completely down yet, and look forward to him facing more challenging defensive plays tomorrow. He also has to get used to some of the technique (e.g. under center). But I think these things are so much easier to fix than accuracy.

    The Mahommes deep ball you pointed out had him underthrow the receiver and cost them the TD.

    I don't care what anyone says, Deshaun Watson is the QB that Chris Smoove be making every year on madden career mode

    Great video. Can you do an update after all 4 preseason games and maybe one after weeks 4, 8, and end of season? I doubt I'll be able to see a lot of their games because I'm in Florida.

    More rookie class break downs! Hopefully Watson gets settled and more accurate on deep throws.

    Would you be able to do a film review of the New York Giants offensive line. Everyone says they're terrible but I'd like to get into the intricacies of it and you're who I immediately thought of

    I love how right you were for the 2017 season (even tho Kizer was bad). And while Watson and Trubisky are doing well in 2018 fricken Mahomes has an MVP season

    Love your videos man, they're incredible. I have noticed that the only places you seem to misdiagnose success is at the QB position. This video kinda adds to that notion in my opinion. I certainly have no clue, but 2s and 3s are typically rookies, backups, and udfas. Of course all these QBs should be having some success, they're playing against the most raw or the most unlikely to see the field. I doubt any of these QBs would have a modicum of success with JJ Watt staring down at them in killing position. I'd say pump the brakes, but then again, I have no clue. Love the Buckner video btw, you should consider diversifying your breakdowns to include whole scale roster rebuilds for bottom tier teams or just retooling teams with playoff potential. I really enjoy seeing breakdowns, but the lens of a GM is also very intriguing. Feels like you'd be good at it.

    From all of them, i think kiser it's going to have the most success. He could read the blitz, throw beautiful deep balls, and he isn't scared to stand in the pocket. All he needs is to realize that is okay to throw the ball away if nobody isn't open. Plus i think he's gonna prove the that passed him wrong.

    Amazing how those little problems in the preseason for deshone kizer that couldn't quite get taken advantage of by 2nd string defenders we're completely dissected by starters.
