Now I know why my suspension sucked with lowering springs on stock dampers. Thank you fine Sir.

Awesome explanation. I'm still considering if I want to lower my R. Right now it would be mostly for looks as I haven't made time to look into tracking it. My aging bones don't want that harsh ride that I didn't mind when I was a lot younger. Looking forward to more of your videos. Cheers.

Lowered 2 inches on stock Mazda CX-5 (KYB) dampers. Bumpers are cut appropriately and I'm no where near touching them. This will depend on the car. Car does not bounce, as the stock dampers are quite firm actually. Ride is more firm due to higher spring rates but otherwise it's fine until you get into the crappier roads in town, where I'm convinced no car can handle well.

The point was simply that jounce bumpers are springs and are designed to be utilized as-such in many applicaitons. "hitting" them isn't a bad thing, but they can be used to tune the suspension travel for sure.
