Autocross...I continue to suck but it's fun...runs at end of video!
WellI continue to suck at this but each time I gain some knowledge/get a little better. Big thing for me is looking ahead/predicting next turns/inputs. At least I hit some cones trying to go harder/faster/cut gates closer. Tires were definatley a factor as in low-grip/colder temps. I'll do a few next year and continue to try to improve.
Some actual runs at the end....should have put some text up front saying that...I also suck at TH-cam apparently...
I had some of the info/terminology wrong here on the classing, see info here:

Worth a try. Didn't clear the Unitronic charge pipes. Should work with stockers. Have a buddy who used it with CTS charge pipe and it fit. Trial and error unfortunately. If that rear-most fitting was angled like the stocker it would likely work.

thank you for the video ! I have not changed my is12 turbo or the actuator but I see my voltages re wrong as my charge air pressure actuator aknowledgment is 4.3V with the key on , not started engine. Been getting lately rattle, EPC light and p2563 fault codes on cold starts. Wastegate moves fine, its lubricated. Unfortunatelly I dont have VCDS so I cant do the adaptation. Is there anyway else this could be done ?
No.
@karstgeo7290 thank you for the quick answer!
Nice build bud !
How many wheels do you have? Lol
3 sets! Summer. All season. Track. Everyone doesn't have that many? 🤣
You have a rocket 🚀!! ❤️
Was that the price brand new? Sounds unbelievable if so.
Yep. Guess I'm a good negotiator!
@@Yhippa sticker was $26K. They couldn't give these away then.
Shush, my creaking rear shocks is my excuse to want to buy coilovers! 😅
Very nice! Sometimes I think my next car may be an Alltrack while they can still be had relatively young. Then again, I hope that my 234,000-mile GTI runs for long enough that an Alltrack would be an "old" replacement. Maybe a newer Tiguan or Atlas is next? I can hardly stand the thought of giving up 100+ hp, though! HAHA! Great work!
I was worried this was a final video because you were going to move on to another car and my sweet mk7(.5) golf wagon content would go away. Thanks for all the info on your channel!
Thanks for the content. I have a 2017 Alltrack DSG with stage 1 Tune. Not sure if you've heard of this problem, but from stop to first gear there is a weird delay until the clutches start grabbing causing a really hard shift. All other shifting is normal. Replaced motor mounts because the tranny one was really bad, but that did not fix the problem. Wondering if you've had the same problem?
Have a read, yes I've had a similar problem but without detail/a video, hard to diag as can be several things. Can try a reset using a scan tool (reset the basic settings of the transmission), can be a mechatronic going out. Or just sometimes it's a normal behavior. www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/dsg-jumping-out-of-gear-on-take-off.377958/
Going to clean my garage now. 😆
Get going! Mine is usually v. neat and tidy. A bit too much crap in it at the moment.
Do you have a video on your bike storage?
No. Just the basic ceiling pulleys you can get off Amazon.
Thank you for dropping this. The is12/is20 version was super confusing when trying to diagnose my bad is12 wastegate elbow. Ended up swapping in an is38 with the is38 style actuator. Pro-tip it’s easier to adjust the arm if you are in the middle of a swap and just connect the actuator before you start bolting everything like the support bracket on.
Good ad. First one was sketchy though. I wouldn't have kept going forward with that GTI looking like he was about to merge back on
I basicaly followed him a bit staying a bit behind to be able to deal with that issue...when I saw he was coming across I backed off nd dipped left - at first I thought he was going to stop/hit that wall so was going to go around to the right but once I realized he wasn't and may come across I just slowed down and watched. Not sure what else I could have done here, I also had to consider any cars that may have been approaching from the rear. Always easy to arm chair things like this. Bottom line I was going slow and we didn't hit. The bumper in the track at the beginning of the esses and the one after the blind turn (10) were far more sketchy.
Hope your knee MRI goes well!
Notch the charge pipe with a 🔨 😂
I wish it was that easy, it would need significant modification.
I have non Duroball bushing that press into OEM steel arms, the center steel bushing isnt bonded to the poly, we’ll see how they hold up.
Awesome tip!! How did you fill it, I’m assuming a bottle pump and hose to the hole?
Just a cheap pump from Harbor Freight etc. - the type that fits on top of a bottle of fluid. Fill to overflow then done.
You have a few 034 parts. The forums say thier a mix bag. How has their stuff been for you ?
I do have quite a few things from 034 - lower control arms, f/r sway bar end links, engine/trans mounts, full dog bone bits, this can. All has worked well enough for me. I've been through one set of front end links but to be fair, they sell a "motorsport" set with sphericals that I really should be using....I think my second set is on the fritz and I'll go with the more durable set next time. Engine/trans mounts seem fine. All and all no drama with 034 plus they have been v. good w/r to customer service.

Ha! STAY THE COURSE!
How much do you pay for track insurance? And where did you get it? I've looked in to it before, but all i found was like 80k a year aimed at racing teams, which did not seem particularly interesting, i could build a new car for that every year.
@MrTurbo_ around $200 for $25K with a 10% deductible for 1-3 day events. I use Lockton. Hagerty also offers it. Remember this is for non-competitive HPDE and these policies usually include time trial coverage as well now. Just seems like a good thing to factor into the costs when the car is still worth a decent chunk.
@MrTurbo_ that's the plan.

Hi, following what you have done I am placing the ballast assembly inside the headlight units. Are you still happy with the performance of the VLAND headlights?
@@janithasw yes.
@ Thanks, may I know how long you had the lights installed? Interestingly Vland customer service has advised against placing the ballast inside :)
@@janithasw I believe this was earlier this year so maybe 9 mos? Where else would you put them? The r. covers for the low beam would need a hole drilled to pass the cables out. I've had no issues.
@ fantastic I’m of the same view. I’m going to run with the ballasts inside and see how it goes. Hopefully they don’t heat up too much 🤞
Why accelerate? wouldn't keeping distance/allowing more space be better? Also cool wagon.
Sometimes, it depends on what's going on behind you. If I see an incident on track, I'm getting the hell out of there because if you slow down, you're trusting that others behind you now see you moving slowly + the incident.
@@projectporvette1914 where specifically are we talking about?
@@symawd yep, have to assess all of it. I considered hitting the bumper, b/c entering the esses wrong can cause issues. Hi Adam
Those bushings have failed for me after a year too, and I think the replacements just went out again. Will be interested to see if you find a different one that fits.
Try the rs3 bushings solid rubber
Have the 034 arms installed with solid rubber plus adjustable camber and some caster. Note the BFI "rs3" ones tore for someone I know so get the OEMs if going that route.
I have these on my A3 and they fail often for me as well. I believe the JXB bushing will only fit in the stock arm.
I think you are right, when I get the old one out I'll do some measuring and compare to the JXB unit. Too bad b/c these arems with caster/camber are a better option than the stamped steel stockers. How many of the SP bushings have you had fail?
@@karstgeo7290 I'm on my third or fourth set of SP bushings
There's either not enough bonding agent on the metal or the metal wasn't fully clean during the molding process. Though it's likely a combination of things. Adding to what @Mrnoelleon said the elevated temps could further separate a poorly bonded urethane since they don't expand at the same rate. Thank you for all your videos!
Great info and yeah, it just has issues...I wish SP could figure this out b/c I know I'm not the only one. Great idea but if I can't get more than 1 year not worth my time. I have a buddy who has roasted the solid rubber ones too so it is a wear part and I undestand that...really want these Al arms with sphericals.
@@karstgeo7290 Yeah, manufacturing at this cost is difficult. If I wanted these to really survive then I'd use a MOCA based urethane with a strong bonding agent (or equivalent since MOCA is being phased out, toxic). If you have a good relationship with a urethane manufacturer you might be able to throw these in during a MOCA run. Super Pro's customer service is the most important part and props to them.
Might be the downpipe is on the passenger side. The heat coming from the cat melt the bushing
Interesting idea!

Lowered 2 inches on stock Mazda CX-5 (KYB) dampers. Bumpers are cut appropriately and I'm no where near touching them. This will depend on the car. Car does not bounce, as the stock dampers are quite firm actually. Ride is more firm due to higher spring rates but otherwise it's fine until you get into the crappier roads in town, where I'm convinced no car can handle well.
The point was simply that jounce bumpers are springs and are designed to be utilized as-such in many applicaitons. "hitting" them isn't a bad thing, but they can be used to tune the suspension travel for sure.
