The "ice" looks a lot more like electricity to me. It would make more sense as to why it's a fire flower upgrade anyways.

Dahrk Daiz's work will always hold a special place in my heart. A cartridge copy of Mario Adventure (the hack I assume came from this one based on the way it was described in the intro) my dad found at a convention was what introduced me to ROM hacking. I don't think I'd be working on my own hack today without their amazing mastery of ASM and level design alike
This reminded me of Mario's Adventure. I know Kosmic won't play it because it's from SMB3, so oh well.

im not sure what your personal thoughts on smb3 are, but mario 3mix seems like a really cool hack
@@ViIvaNunner probably not many, but ive heard a lot about 3mix. It has a lot of elements from smb1 iirc, like the 8-4 level layout? Could definitely play that one at some point.
Getting to see the same level again but where everything's dead/spooky reminds me of Eversion.

Kosmic you should definitely start SMB2, SMBLL and SMB3 Rom hacks! In a Mario 3 Rom Hack there is a Wizard power up and I think you'd love it. Cheers!
It'd definitely be awesome to see you play the SMB3 hack, because this one was soooo nice. There are lots of little things like the block cracking and the power-up stages that are just really nice little touches - not to mention that it just looks SO good.

I am very familiar with the season you called "dead". It's the fifth season in cultures that have five seasons (such as mine). Some cultures call it quintessence (which taken literally means "fifth element"). Mine calls it matyaven (which taken literally means "chaos time"). It is the darkest and harshest season in places with cold climate (such as my home village), hence why it makes everything look dead

The reason that the Firebars are like that is cause they are using the same graphic as the Fireballs that Mario shoots out. Since this hack seems to switch out the Fireball graphic for the Ice one, the Firebars get effected with the graphic change too

This is a DOPE A$$ Rom hack! In OG Super Mario Bros., if you had a fire-flower power-up and you got hit by an enemy or ran into one, you would shrink to SMALL Mario and not just simply loose the fire-flower. I like the super speed swim and this hack used the running animation instead of the swimming one. Anyways, SIC hack.
(4:15) I guess the ice power up changes the 8x8 fireball graphics for everything, including the Fire Bars.
(5:08) LOL, nice one.
(7:34) Ooh, so you get a 1-up at 100,000 points, I'm guessing. (Also, that power up added 1200 to your score instead of 1000 for some reason. Did the 1-up effect somehow add an extra 200 points as well?)
(9:49) Maybe it's a 1-up every 50,000 points.

(12:32) Aw... Apparently, grabbing that mushroom set your size value to big, instead of just toggling it, so you can't actually do small fire or small ice in this hack.

I was surprised I got the WWF warzone world record back yesterday I haven't really beat the game that much it was really only my third completed speedrun of the game and only like my 6th time beating the challenge mode so I was kind of shocked that I beat the record against 5 other people after only a few runs of although I have been playing that game off and on for a long time just haven't Beat the challenge mode that much it's really long and well I'm also good at wrestling and fighting games and it does involve alot of luck luck well then maybe I should try playing poker professionally or maybe do what 3 quarters of the whole population does spend money on buying lottery tickets 😆😄😂👍🤘😆
