Well I’m hoping to get some cushion on that seat! Lol. Nothing wrong with a farmall in my book, but I’ll never forget riding a case like this one with my mom driving. Heat, dust diesel smoke nothing like it!!!
First Tractor I ever ran was one just like it. I was 11 yrs. old. Pulled two one-ways tied together. My Dad found a cab that fit it and we put it on. Pretty fancy back then. Great project, wish I was there to help you rebuild. Sure brings back some great memories. Thanks and good luck.
Great tractor, she'll clean up good. The color's & the big fender's are my favorite, fancy. The engine looks easy to work on. Most don't change the oil. Enjoyed this.
I love seeing old iron brought back from the dead... I`m sick and tired of junkies getting there grub hooks on perfectly fine equipment and cut it up!!!! Good job... can`t wait to see her blossom!!

WOW. When i was a little kid in the 1960s My Uncle Jr. had one of these but it was a gas tractor! And my Grandpa had the Case 730 and the smaller case 430 with the front loader. So this makes me think of those sweet days of Yester year.
She's ready go to working on the farm lol that's what she's made for second to none back in its hay day im glad you rescued it and took a chance on it im sure. it will do its share of chores on your farm or driveway
I like you enjoy working on the old stuff because it so much simpler to work on and for the most part are built better too . A prime fence row find is brought back to life and has found a new purpose for life ! I hope you make her look good again ! Bandit
That was the exact model tractor that I started driving when I was 12 years old. I had to push in the hand clutch with my foot because I wasn’t strong enough to push it in by hand.
My grandpa use to have a case 930, he got rid of it back in the 90s when he sold the farm. It’s certainly nice to see that old tractor starting up, but anyways me and my grandpa have bought a Case 730 back in April. Anyways all the best to you, and good luck.
Well ya that’s the story, we relocated them to a nice isolated jungle environment, where they are free to roam and make homes in trees and dirt where they should be! Thanks for watching
You done good Frank. I love those old Case tractors. I never messed with one but always liked their look. The engine blocks look like the came out of a locomotive! Slow, long stroke, low RPM diesel. Torque monsters with a long life. I’m like you and see potential life left in old but high quality equipment. Looking forward to seeing how you progress with it. Stay cool!
Good ol tractors, i grew up plowing using a 5 bottom plow with a case 930, but had the big fenders on it and fuel tank behind the seat..sounds good 👍 if you restore it, put it on youtube...
Man o live!!!!!! I never expected that at all, then to smooth out the way that it did. That ole girl just told you she ain’t ready for the retirement home just yet lol. She’s wanting to work again. The tone in your voice sure changed awful quick too, went from second guessing the purchase to woo hoo it’s a runner. Lol
Wow, that’s a nice tractor! I’m surprised how well it runs. I think I would have pressure washed the ants off before pulling it in the shop though haha! Keep us updated on this one!
Thanks! My thought on the pressure wash is what if it don’t run? Then I have added water to some things under pressure that will make things worse. Now that I know it will run she will get a good bath. Thanks for watching 👍
I got a 1963 Case 730, and a 1967 930 comfort king diesel rowcrop. Those motors are bulletproof. That ariokroil is some good shit, but I like seafoam deep creep. Wd-40 is no where near deep creep. For stuck engines we've used brake fluid mixed with ATF
Sounds very well for not been run for fourteen years Frank!! Think you may enjoy tinkering with this one sir!! Pleased to be along for the rebirth 👍👍🇬🇧
Got the valves to unstick. She's a nice tractor at least to me. A little blowby but that may get cleaner as well... Looking forward to the next update.
I'm sure your aware but incase your not the injection pump on that tractor requires its own oil as it's a early 930. At the bottom of the pump you'll see a drain plug on the govenor housing and you'll see a line coming off the bottom making a loop up behind the pump then down to the ground that's the overflow line. My early 830 takes just under a pint of oil (4 cylinder pump) use what ever oil you use in the crank case (15w40) the original working was to slowly add oil until it comes out that overflow line. The round breather cap behind the last injection line on the pump is the oil fill for the pump. Its common to have allot of diesel in the injection pump oil my 830 seems to have a billion hours I change the injection pump oil atleast a few times per engine oil change
Sure cleaned up with some run time! I’d say your thoughts on the exhaustion valves were spot on. That smoke sure looked like low compression not burning all the fuel. I’m always more comfortable buying something that still in its “work clothes” than shined up. I’d be curious about how many hours. She’s pretty clean under that valve cover.

My grandpa’s 730 hasn’t ran in over 20 years and we put a full tank of diesel and bled the system and it started and ran but the plunger in the injection pump so it went to full throttle right away after being a farmall guy I’m wanting to buy a 930 or 1030
I like marvel mystery oil or marvel mystery oil mixed 50/50 with acetone. For straight down the exhaust in an old diesel just MMO that baby. Nothing in the MMO that can hurt anything in the engine. If it passed the rings and ended up in the crank case no problem. When the dried out cylinders are wet with it and it helps lubricate the dry rings perfect. When it burns with the fuel it is gone in smoke! I suggest putting some in the fuel to help lubricate the whole top end on an engine that has not run in a long time! If it does not help it doesn't but it won't destroy anything..

That tractor might not have many hours on it or in my experience with big V8 engines for example, they will just seemingly go forever, the same might go for the Case tractor engine !

Abandoned forgotten. Now it will be restored will revive in the hands of Mr Frankc😎
Thanks!
We always had Allis and farmall and every now and then Oliver and massy small ones to pull a hay rake or wagon. The neighbors had John Deere and case and every now and then we would end up with one because they borrowed ours and left theirs for us to use and I hated those old two lung'er and hand clutch tractors like those. It would be fun to redo one just for kicks but your more of a man than me to run one all day.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Love to hear stories from the days I missed out on. We never had a farmall, but my dad had a td14a and 15-151 dozers. He farmed a lot of acres with a D John Deere 3 bottom plow, ran day and night, back before I can remember.
Now you just made the ants homeless LOL
You got really lucky with this one
I’d say so!
Digginok my grandfather and i restored a 56 Farmall 300 together. It was the last one we did together before he died
That tractor might not have many hours on it or in my experience with big V8 engines for example, they will just seemingly go forever, the same might go for the Case tractor engine !
I think you are right
👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🙏🏻 Enjoyed! Real cool!
Thanks
Smooth as Butter! I hope you never paint it.
Lol if you know me I probably won’t paint it!
FOUND a pig a in the poke, if you get her to running, thats more than half the battle! I aint forgot about us building a rake! I'm still healing, y'all stay safe!
Thanks! I got lucky this time, hope you are doing well my friend! Would love to get to fab up a rake someday with you
pretty impressive for a 60 year old !
This is the one that can with the plow right?
Nice hearing it run.
No this is another one, the propane one is a parts tractor at this point. Thanks for watching 👍
You: Why did I buy it?
Me: You don't need to answer that question.
