    I cannot tell you how many hours I sat on the seat a round fender, rear tank diesel with a hand clutch from 79 to 83 doing actual work. That would be plowing, discing, cultivating, spraying, seeding, baling, hauling wagon after wagon and a lot of other things I forgot about....and that thing would not quit and sipped diesel....unreal tractor....straight up amazing now that I think about how little fuel that thing used. We had a square fender with a foot clutch, and at the time, originally I thought I preferred the footie...but over time I really appreciated that hand clutch and the actual versatility it provided. Just a flat out work horse that didn't eat too much feed.

    I don't know much about their reliability or performance but I think hundred series Case tractors like this one are some of the best looking tractors ever made.

    I would've tried spraying each spark plug hole with either Kroil or PB Blaster and let soak over night then a day or two later squirting some engine oil into each plug hole. Leave the plugs out and pull it while tractor is in high gear with another tractor. That might break it loose. Highly recommend Kroil it attacks rust pretty good, better than PB blaster. Costs a little more, about 14.00 bucks for a 12 .0 ounce can. Ive broken stuck engines before with this method.

    Well, with the spark plugs out, (and, IF it will turn over) you don't have to worry about hydro-ing the cylinder. There are lots of ways to remove whatever water is in there, but at this point there is plenty of risk of scoring the cylinder walls. I've a feeling the most intelligent move would be to remove the head before turning it over.

    A vacuum pump for bleeding brakes works good to get water out of cylinder.

    Such a big crow bar the hood has ben off probly 10 times in last 50 years thease case tractors look worse then they are with age because of color but iv got a 730 and 530 all fresh paint and you realy can see what a good looking color case used

    I had a D17 that sat out for several years with the rain cap on, thinking it was ok. I didn't realize the muffler a a pin hole where the pipe was fastened to the oval muffler. Over the years moisture had got in the manifold and rusted up 2 and 3 cylinders and stuck it. Overhaul time.

    there should've been some 1 the tractor when yall pulled it should of put it in gear and let the clutch out and see if the motor turns over I would've done that 1ST 😊😊 OMG 8 16 2O23

    A realy nice tractor. If a was a millionere I should make you an offer of that tractor. It is a boys dream when I saw Dallas. In the Intro of that series big US tractors. I think it was a Case or International tractor and that was a realy dream tractor. Keep going with the good work regards from Sweden.

    I would have sprayed some PB Blaster on the plugs to save the threads on the cylinder head.

    Yes brother we are burning up in Brunswick county Virginia right next to N.C. Tobacco is looking ruff and beans and corn are going to be in bad shape if we don't get some rain and cooler temps. Yeah send it up the road. Piston with a pit in it is not good. That Case would eat up any profits really fast.

    I would pull the 1ST cylinder head off and get the water out of the cylinder U can't run the engine like water will break the piston even W a rain cap W the muffler they should used a metal coffee can and 5 gallon bucket 2 put over the muffler and the air cleaner both 2 keep the water out and it still should've covered up even better in a shed then U wonder why what it cost 2 fix it 😮😮 OMG 8 16 2O23

      I spent the summer back in high school running a 930 family friend I also had a 40/20 and as far as I was concerned I'd much rather run the 9:30 it was a much better tractor

    Why not put in gear when pulling..

    • @CrazyDEquipment
      @CrazyDEquipment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been asked that several times and it's very simple I didn't want to take a chance of bending the rods or doing any damage by trying to pull start it that's a real risk you take by trying to pull a tractor and break it free I've learned that first hand in the past

  • @kirk467
    @kirk467 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why not pull it in gear to see if it’s froze!

    • @CrazyDEquipment
      @CrazyDEquipment  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because I did not want to damage the motor Ben rods break crankshafts I've had that happen before that's a good way to mess up a motor if you don't know if it's stuck or not or why it is stuck
