I held out so long (too long, really), totally missed all the PM1's, their first go-around... because, well, one) I was just trying to exercise some "discipline," two) well, was going back-and-forth on why I even held so close to my number one reason... lol. Finally, I saw it ((this year, phew!)) on one of my favorite pen models, and then I pounced!!!! I love, love, love the "Pastel..." I call mine "Water Lilies..." I learned about the Pastel PM's a bit too late in the game, and it's one of those where you see one, and you pounce on it because you don't know when there will be another one. That pastel primary manipulation is amazing! I have a pen from Just Turnings too with a blank from Turnt Pen Co. I love it! Such great quality from both parties. Would definitely buy from them again
That pastel PM is a stunner! I have that blank on hold at Turnt Pen Co for a custom satin finish but I’ll be waiting until Feb! So gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!
My daughter has a pastel PM. Jonathan said; at the Atlanta Pen Show in 2023, that the pastel was a resin mixture that didn't turn out the way he'd hoped and that he wasn't going to make any more, but we've seen it since then, so he must have gotten a positive enough reaction that he had produced more blanks.
Great job Karyna!!!! Wow!! I love both of your new pens. The Swirly Joyful Kismet blank turned out really gorgeous. I have never thought of getting a custom blank. When you showed the blank & then showed the pen I gasped which shocked me…lol The DI ink was the perfect match. Thanks for sharing.
How awesome you had your own blanks made! Love the pastels and the pen turned out beautifully (pun intended)! Very nice touch also that you can switch out the end pieces for a different look!
I have a pen on the way to me from Stephen as well! It is a turnt pen co black with his BYOP option for my pilot custom 742 pen. I’m so excited to have my favorite nib in a beautiful body. I had no idea that I could ask him to send me two sets of finials! I went with black to match the nib but now I wish I would’ve asked for both!
WOW! What an absolutely STUNNING custom pen! I am still learning about pens and trying out a few different brands, but I am starting to really look towards the hand turned pens. This is absolutely pushing me in that direction.
Firstly, search for various makers on Instagram - that is how I found them. And then do not be afraid to message them - many are so so happy to help you find what you are looking for!
They are just breath taking. You need to team up with someone for a Karyna Model Pen. I love the changeable hardware. I think I need to send you money and have you get a custom made for me. Thanks for sharing.
