I have 2 hand turned pens - both are gorgeous. What I like about them the most is that they are truly unique and that they were made by a person and not a machine.
Great video! I have a pen from Just Turnings. I totally agree with all your conclusions: marvellous pen, so beautiful, and writes really well, and the manufacturer is easy to do business with - a real pleasure. I have the fine nib. I have the one with a clip, not because I clip it on my clothes, but because the clip stops the pen rolling around on my desk.
I actually just ordered my first Just Turnings pen five days ago. It’s a BYOP in PM1 for a Pilot C74. The maker made it the same day I ordered it and sent me pictures of the finished pen. It’s already in the post, and I can’t wait to receive it.
Beautiful pen, thanks for sharing this with us :) I definitely would love to get a hand-turned pen, I love the idea of them being functional art, I am saving up as we speak!
That's beautiful. I thought I was familiar with almost all the Brooks resins, but I don't know that one. I'm kind of obsessed with Brooks' resins. You have a winner there. What you said about having a hard time finding a pen that the ink got along with...that might make a good video subject; showing all the inks that don't actually work well in most pens. Wearinguel Secret Garden is gorgeous on an ink swatch, but won't write. It's so frustrating.
Gorgeous pen. The resin is so beautiful. Does the company have a website? I am looking forward to your focus video. It looks a bit thin but you said it felt comfortable in the hand. I have no idea if any of my pens are hand turned. Is there any way to tell?
Unfortunately they one seem to operate via Facebook, facebook.com/Justturnings, or Instagram. I'm not sure how to tell if it is hand turned or not, other than knowing where it was bought from and the manufacturing process.

Thats one of the things I like about it. It has been made with passion rather than cranked off a machine.

I hope you enjoy it when it arrives. I'm very pleased with mine.

Gorgeous! I have quite a few Franklin- Christoph and Edison’s pens and they are my favourites.
I am still quite mesmerised by it.

Thanks. Yeah, it's an unusual blank. I've got another one coming up in a few weeks.
Thats a good idea for a video, I'll add it to the list.
