Hope that MMPC could also lend you a Triton GL 4x4 so people could judge if it's worthy of its salt as a base/fleet model pick up, in comparison with the Ranger XL. Heck, even exclusive subdivision people are cueing for the Ranger XL
Not mentioned in the video: GLS comes with Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist & Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and a Forward Collision Mitigation system a.k.a AEB. And even if it's heavier than the Ranger's EPS system, one thing missing is that compared to other PS-equipped trucks, this has the lightest hydraulic system yet. Comfort wise, this would even turn out to me more comfy than the Nissan if JW would be able to test it back to back. Shame this might end up underrated again like the previous gen but easily trumps most of it's competitors once tested back to back with its peers.
Sir gd day po sana mapansin mo messge ko,,,,,,,itong makina ng gls 4x4 manual trans, o yong triton athlete 4x4 may laban ba ito sa makina ng hilux conquest in terms po ng pangmatagalang gamit for 20 years alin kaya ang mas tomagal, balak kc akong bumuli, thanks po
Great review! Please can you find the GL 4x4 everyone will give you a million views in a day ! Its the one everyone is dying to see! People who like to live within there means and not on utang for years. Salamat Jay😊
I thought this truck looked awkward, but I realized it was just the Athlete that looked weird with the body colored grill, with black grill it looks quite handsome.
The current Montero Sport has the front end of the last gen Strada/Triton. This all new Triton looks nothing like the current Montero, so it's not comparable.

Sir Jay, when you drove the GLS did you hear a water-gargling sound when you’re releasing the throttle? I have GLS, which is my first ever unit, i’ve driven other modern cars this past 2 years but this is the first i’m hearing a feedback sound coming from under the hood if i’m letting go of the accelerator. The service center I went to said it’s just the turbo. I’m hoping you have a better insight about this or a better explanation. 🙏
Maybe because the Athlete Variants has AYC (Active Yaw Control) because the Xpander Cross has AYC and it uses a Electronic Power Steering. Probably the new technology of AYC requires electronic power steering. Maybe it may not work if the steering system is hydraulic
Habang tumatagal pumapangit na glx grill plus halogen parin. Nakita ko kanina sa daan glx parang old model eh mas maganda pa talaga hilux, navara, ranger

Planning to either buy a Mazda or an SUV by the end of the year. @@jonesmendoza151power wise, triton gls is way more powerful than hilux conquest 2.4 engine. More comfort on ride than conquest. But conquest has lesther seat and parking sensors which you dont get with gls triton.

If madalas ka sa expressways, the adaptive cruise control ng hilux would do you better than the triton. But if you are mostly on town roads and just normal highways, having a bigger capacity on the back is more practical on the Triton, even though walang tailgate assist vs the Hilux but up to you if that is a big factor (e.g. babaeng driver ka) Hilux has leather seats, Triton has fabric but can easily be bought for a leather covering but would cost a little more extra. Triton has the Headlights beam level adjuster which also very practical at night which the Hilux doesn't have. The 4n15 engine ng Strada, despite the numbers in specs, beats almost any pickup in the Philippine market in terms of speed, even beating the Hilux (search on youtube, an australian channel i forgot). Now with the improved 4n16 engine ng Triton, it would be even better. Lastly, the Hilux Conquest 4x2 AT costs a bit more than the Triton GLS 4x2 AT in terms of SRP, mga around 50k iirc That's all i can think of in my experience between the two pickups. Feel free to factor which feature available in these pickups na d available sa rival nya ang iyong kinakailangan for you next pickup. Both of them are good on their own naman. Hope it helps

Can you do a review on the new MUX 2024 with the built in DashCam and AVM
Dislike yung looks sa harap
And the hydrualic power steering cause it consume engine horsepower
Then the rear drum disk
The design is dumb, done by a 3rd grader
