  • Family utes are big in Australia because they can get hard work done and handle family matters. But has Mitsubishi actually made it good enough to qualify as your next new family ute?
    Priced to about $65,000 for the GSR, Triton is excellent value and highly capable.
    Visit BestFamilyCars.com.au for more and to save a bit buying your new ute.

    Out of all reviews I have watched from Australia, this is the most well balanced that focuses on the qualities of the vehicle instead of constantly pointing out features not on par with the Ranger. A practical review purely focused on the vehicle, thank you so much sir.

      Thanks, Max. I wanted to focus on the real story with Triton.
      Everything else it does with ease. Good little truck.

    All those driver warning chimes around the 22:00 -25:00 mark would do my tree in if you can't turn them off permanently.

    I test drove one today. Very impressive it doesn't feel like driving a truck. And you can turn all these features off.

      Dzień dobry from Australia.
      Triton does everything you could possibly ask from a dual-cab ute without going to a proper truck for daily heavy use.

    Installing child seats is so much fun. Especially in utes, and especially in hot weather when the buckles are nice and warm...
    Nice review mate.

    This was a very great review , i like how you shown practical things
    Such as putting a car seat in
    Loading the tray with goods
    You also covered alot of the technical things. Hopefully Mitsubishi gives a permanent option to disable that driver monitoring system

    This review has me definitely leaning towards the 2024 Triton should I need to replace my Pajero any day soon. Maybe I skipped and missed the fuel consumption part of the vid?
    I like what Mitsubishi has done with this Triton from camera to engine, to how it handles on & off road, this Ute looks Beaut!!

    • @ScottMurrayBestFamilyCars
      @ScottMurrayBestFamilyCars  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a significant improvement overall. I didn't talk about fuel consumption because it's a bit irrelevant in the context of diesel work utes.
      Diesel is 20% more economical than petrol. What matters is how you drive it. If you're a lead foot, you'll use more than a feather foot.
      Fuel economy is better than a Ranger. Does that help?

    New subbie here, loved the review. My question is, as the Triton has got larger now, how does it compare size wise to say a Lux or Ranger? Interior and tub size?

      Generally speaking, yeah they usually can be.
      Problem is, with all of these systems, I already have enough to focus on. I cbf spending time at the roadside trying to figure it out inside the infinity menus.

    I have the last model, the door opening (small) and turbo lag, which was its downfall. I test drove the new one and its not bad even though I think ill go the Ranger

    • @ScottMurrayBestFamilyCars
      @ScottMurrayBestFamilyCars  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The thing for me, with buying a Ranger, is I don't really think you get much of significance for the extra $10-15K.
      A power outlet in the tray? Whoopdidoo. Plug into the mains, like every single proper tradie on every building site.
      What else is there on a Ranger apart from the V6 for seriously heavy daily towing?
      Triton does 90% of what Ranger can do.

    They always been good but always underpowered, it be hard for any 4x4 company to beat the power of the v6 diesel 184kw that’s a big difference towing a caravan or a boat.
