    I got Very sick 3 years ago with an illness that caused my intestines to swell making it extremely hard to eat. This caused me to lose almost 1/3 of my body weight.. The doctors didn't have Any solutions for the problem, all they offered was painkillers that could cause even more stomach pains. I don't even remember now how I stumbled across your page Wim, but I figured it couldn't hurt so I started doing cold exposure. It may have literally saved my life, Certainly my quality of life! In the last 3years of daily cold showers I've managed to put back on and keep 25lbs of muscle mass. Although my stomach issues aren't 100% gone, they are 100% manageable now. Also, I don't seem to get sick from other colds or flus that all my friends and family have and i have more energy. (Maybe that's cause I'm not shrinking to death anymore). Thank you Wim, for all you do! Anyone on the fence about this, TRY IT! It's free and it's life changing!

      @@Noori3863 I was in the same boat! I wouldn't want to eat just cause I didn't want to deal with the uneasy feeling after. I started by doing breath work 3 days a week and I set an alarm to make sure I wouldn't forget. Sometimes I add an extra one if I'm feeling it. The cold showers I take daily for 3 years now. Days I really don't want to, I start with a hot shower for 15min and then finish as cold as possible for 2-3mins. I also started working out 4+ days week, this has helped a lot with my body Wanting food again, So I'd strongly recommend. Lastly I heard corn starch and food products with lots of preservatives seemed to bother people with ibs, so I cut those out too. It's a Crazy messed up feeling when you're guts go bad, but my life is WAY better after doing these things.. Best of Luck!

The physical, mental, health benefits go far beyond than just being able to cope with cold temperatures. The developed world is so spoiled, so soft, so comfortable. Rather than push themselves a bit and be instantly rewarded they go to the doctor or spend money on medication.
      Seriously, a simple cold shower is too much for many, too difficult, a challenge they run away from!
      It's an easy test: Do you have any amount of will power or are you a chicken? Are you a man or a mouse?

    I want to mention something that i take cold showers about 4 times a week usually before my workouts i stand by them but people saying its bad and i know the science that they are not bad i do them for 15 minutes

      15 minutes is a waste of water... it won't hurt, as long as the water isn't ice cold, but why do it for 15 minutes when Wim recommends 1 or 2? No offense! :)

    guys i told u something....ice cold water is so ridicuous cold, you cant imagine!! 5 or 6 years ago, i go in the forrest with my dog! and there is a lake that my dog lost her ball on it....i leave it there and go away.30min later i come back to that place and notice womans thats ask for help....
    whats happend? he left her dog without any rope and her dog break through the ice into the water and cant go outside!! i was very "upset" cause of her stupidness to let the dog without rope on the lake.however the poor Dog was very scary and other people arrived and try to get the dog with a long long limb, but they cant reach the dog.
    however, i was stupid enough to take off most of my clothes and go into the water. And i was stupid enough to go without a rope eigther^^
    it was ridiculous cold! it was so cold that i was only able to be there for maybe 2 min and i want to catch the dog but he was so scary that i cant get him.
    luckly and old guy give me a long limb, so i was able to use it to get the dog out of this (he bite into the limp and i pull him out)
    its was Cold and i want to go home....on the way home, maybe 15min run i notice that i was totally healthy, way way more than usual..
    iam a usual guy 37 then and 100 kilo, so a bit to fat^^.
    the whole day, as i get dry i felt crazy good! never in my old life i has that feeling...(without any meds or drugs^^)
    but do not go over iced lakes without any secureness...its very dangerous! luckly iam not drowning...or sadly^^

    So the bacteria is “dead” and “harmless” but it still makes people sick. So I’m assuming sick as in a reaction to the inner toxins (like food poisoning kinda). So wim hoff method doesn’t protect you from getting sick with like a cold. But if exposed to things that cause inflammation then it helps?

  • @nano7586
    @nano7586 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Okay but the question is if the breathing or the cold or both contributed to a decrease in symptoms. Or if it was simply because the treated groups are more conditioned in general and live a healthier lifestyle. I mean I'm just curious to know how much the cold contributed.
