  • Wim Hof Method is now changing science books (see below the 'Biology Now' chapter on Wim Hof)!
    The starting point of this scientific breakthrough was the study conducted by Radboud University on the voluntary activation of the sympathetic nervous system and attenuation of the innate immune response in humans. This video illustrates the methods and results of this study!

    Wim I had to tell you how quickly and profoundly you have changed my life! I have been sick for 10 years with Fibromyalgia, chronic migraines, IBS and endometriosis, PTSD depression and social anxiety from many past traumas. My body had atrophy and severe inflammation and pain. In 5 days doing your breathing and meditation and only 2 cold showers and 1 walk, I am off pain meds, the inflammation in the backs of my knees are gone on one side and the other has gone from the top of a softball sized down to the top of a golf ball sized. I haven't been able to listen to music with a lot of bass for 10 years! Today, I had my son play 3 high bass songs and I didn't get nausea or pain! I had no expectations that I would see such profound results SO F'N QUICKLY!! This is giving me my life back and I am telling everyone in my life who is chronically ill to watch every video on you and try what I have done. I want to push this as far as I can now!! I want to try it on everything now! Bad teeth whatever!! I want to see if it can reverse the illnesses that come with severe weight gain in my family. One family member had quadrouple bipass surgery and he is in his 40's! Another one has Hashimoto's disease! As soon as I can afford it, I want to study with you and teach others! THANK YOU YOU HAVE GIVEN ME MY LIFE BACK AND I WILL SPEND IT PAYING IT FORWARD!

Now that you are doing it though, people are listening. Thank you, my brother. Maybe with your help, we the human race can begin to truly discover just how powerful we are. Forever forward, always to new heights!

    • @lordofd7111
      @lordofd7111 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No one listens because people refuse to believe in practice until they've seen the results. Today's results are the confirmations of Western science. It's annoying and keeps a lot of people from really figuring their own shit out, but that's what happens in when the world encourages you to question everything - you end up confusing genuine query for doubt and skepticism.
      Skepticism is understandable, but it isn't meant to be the barrier we've made of it. You want to know that something works, but it's that knowing that will create the expectation that inadvertently blocks your progress because you're looking to the result to happen, as opposed to looking to yourself to make and let it happen.

It's curious that your relaxation effect is very similar to what I learned by myself to control body pain in 2014. Gives me hope. I just discovered Wim Hof about a week ago. Have had asthma since 1981. Tried not to take drugs, explored every healing modality I came across, even became a Reiki master teacher in 1992. After several near death experiences surrendered to pharmaceuticals, including prednisone. So I'm doing the breathing, 30 breaths twice a day but no cold showers yet. Now my daughter is doing the breathing. She has panic attacks. This is so good. So simple, just to breathe.

    Dear Wim, thank you for your amazing work. One question keeps coming back which I would like to ask you. What I have learned that fever and other responses like rushes, puking, diarrhea etc are natural defense mechanisms of the body to get rid of harmful substances (e.g. viruses, bacteria, toxins etc). The Rotterdam study that is shown in this video seems to me that your method suppresses this natural, and effective (in most cases) response of the body to the endotoxins by inducing a strong release of adrenaline which puts the body in 'fight-flight' mode, putting the body in a state to suppress all energy needed for 'maintenance' due to the need to tackle the induced emergency state. My thought is that your method only delays the necessary response of the body to deal (righteously so) with the 'bad' endotoxin and not 'cures' it. Its similar to taking paracetamol to suppress the pain, pain that has a reason. It takes away the pain, but not the reason for the pain. I'm looking forward to your reply, and please forgive me my ignorance in this matter.

    When I was in my late teens after having trained in martial arts for years our instructor was always big on using the power of one's mind to accomplish some pretty amazing things. Although we were not trained to do certain things or affect certain parts of the body instead we were basically just trained on controlling our mind, as well as our thoughts, and this would of course cause diff effects. So long story short I always practiced trying to control the rate at which my heart would beat at any given time as I knew this would be very easy to verify. I can still do it today, and very easily I might add. I can increase it and/or decrease it on command and without moving at all. I don't really use any specific breathing techniques but I must say this really intrigues me!
