A thought, I watch people every day at my place of work. Most of them I believe are what one might refer to as human, only they're humans on a different path, as you said in a manner of speaking. Not many of them are as you say, fully funtioning.
The other day I was talking to one of my coworkers who suffers from panic attacks, and I know this about him. I just sat with him on my coffee break and tried to calm him down a bit, whether I succeeded or not is another thing, but in that instance I did my very best to give him my full attention.

Hi Robin,
I like your idea of measuring success with the kind of person you are and maybe what the society is selling you is a myth but if we are not buying it, we are not being treated the way be want to be treated by the society. At the end of the day we are social beings and it really matters to us how we are treated by others and if we don't fulfill the aspirations the society has from us, we are a failure in their eyes and that would clearly reflect in their behavior. Then in your mind you have succeeded but you are not getting the same response from other people. Please guide me. Am I wrong somewhere?
