Great! I was thinking about removing a part from a brick to make it smaller. But i assume that the defaut form can not be modified? Maybe take that part into Blender to change it ? You have to do a full reinstall of both studio and the part designer. Make sure you put studio in a new folder and you make note of where the .exe is stored. When you open part designer for the first time direct it to that folder.

I only got to use this once, to add proper connection points to a part that was then immediately fixed in the next update, at some point between then and now, Part Designer refuses to launch and wont load past being a white window, it has crapped out so bad that even closing said window causes a crash notification and 5 seconds of latency, Studio doesn't even recognize the program as being downloaded, so i downloaded it again and installed over the old copy but nothing changed
You have to select the folder that the Studio.exe file is located. I recently had to do a full reinstall of Studio because I selected the wrong folder. So you may need to do the same if you chose the wrong one.

Hello, if your question is still relevant, try to delete part designer and download again, but select the folder with all the files of the Studio application. It should help, because I did exactly as described you!

Hi, how can I simply change the color of a part in part designer? Or it is everytime tan by default and must stay tan? When I export a new part to custom palette into studio, then it astonishingly appears as dark-bluish-gray.
When you create the part in Part designer it will always show as tan. The part colour can be changed in Studio like any other part, either by choosing the colour you want in the brick palette, or by selecting the brick in the view area and changing the colour using the palette on the righthand side. There is a way to lock the colour in Part designer as well, but that takes a bit of a workaround.

I just have a problem woth studio and I'm wondering if you can help me or refer me to someone who can help. I have noticed that there are bricks that do not show on the brick pallette even though they show up in the studio parts files. The ldd models containing these product show up. But I still can't find them when starting a fresh project in studio. Please help and thanks in advance
Sometimes they have not been migrated into Studio. You can open up part designer and import the parts there. From there you can export the parts into Studio. Check out my video on importing LDCAD parts where I show a demonstration of this.

Our digital modeler at Playwell Bricks uses Blender to create parts. Basically you need to learn how to model in Blender, then you can create and export parts into part designer. Hope that helps.
Maintaining a uniform plastic thickness is pretty important in designing injection molded pieces, or so I've heard. Otherwise it wont cool uniformly, and will result in the part being warped. The thickness of the plate of solid plastic in the part designed here might cause problems. I believe Megablocks' answer to such a plate is quite hollow (hollow studs, and the plate has large holled sections around the stud tubes) presumably for this reason. This has also been theorised to be the reason why a 1x1 brick with axel hole took soooo long to be released, because the corners around the axel hole had to be designed in a way that they werent solid, but also werent super prone to damage.

We do this, but we work in programs outside of Studio and import the files in.
For the decal function , that seem cannot use in the 2x2 dish, I just available in 4x4 dish

BLstudio doesn't even have mixel eyes so partdesigner is the only reason for me to use it.

You will have to rewrite the code for the part. You need to edit the ldraw file using a text editor. This is quite complicated.

I have never had luxk apply two decals to a single piece. It is better to combine them outside Studio, then import then together.

Manufacturers in China actually produce plates with studs on both sides but there aren't in Stud.io such a bummer.

You need to add bottom tubes to it and make sure you have added the connection points.

You will have to bring the part into LDCAD and edit the curves there and bring it into Studio via Part Designer.

Yes, I have. Generally, this is due to them being low resolution.

I think you would have to 3D print your own, I don't know of a company that produces them.

OK, what about some more complex pieces?
Make them in Blender and import them into parts designer as a .obj.
