I used to play this song on repeat when I was living at my grandparents house and developed addictions to harder drugs, I did heroin for the first time with my drug dealer in a public metro park bathroom by my house. At the time I felt deeply ashamed and was lying and hiding a lot of things from a lot of different people in my life, most of those people don’t speak to me, and I wouldn’t speak to them even if they wanted to speak to me. I hurt a lot of people and I’ve come to realize the only way to fix it is to leave them alone. I’m in a comfortable insulated position in my life with everything around me that makes me happy, but I question if it makes me feel actually alive, a comfortable routine that’s repeated over and over again.
