    Man you did an awesome job on that bike, makes me miss my 88 cr125 I had back in the day!!!

      Thanks! Definitely turned out to be a nice build. It was one of the top 3 worst condition bikes I've ever restored. It may even be #1 on that list!😳

    Brings back old memories of when I was a kid getting a new 87 cr125 for Christmas, I love the mid 80s to early 90 CRs , hell I love all two strokes from that era,

      I have a 1988 CR125. After watching the video of your build, I'm really inspired to restore mine.
      Do you know if 1989 frames are the same as a 1988 frame?

    • @jkiseracing
      @jkiseracing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@matthewjames4977 no, the frames are just a little bit different between those years if I remember correctly. 87/88 are the same. 89/90 are the same

    I appreciate this video I just picked up a 1988 Honda cr125r parts bike "frame,subrame,swingarm,forks,wheels, and guy was nice enough to include a motor in decent shape needs top end rebuild its an ugly bike right now and missing a lot but I wanted to restore this gem up and get her looking new just like yours great build man it looks amazing 👏

    • @jkiseracing
      @jkiseracing  ปีที่แล้ว

      This one was nat far off of what you're describing. In fact, it may be the worst shape bike I've ever restored. I almost parted it out.

    Beautiful build! I'm rebuilding an 88 as well (if it comes out half as nice as yours I'll be happy!). Question, where did you find the rear brake pedal return spring?

    • @jkiseracing
      @jkiseracing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@martintelford8763 I'm pretty sure I found an old stock. If I'm ever unable to find a new spring, I'll typically remove the crud with a pryme mx cleaning wheel and give it a soak in the WD-40.

    Nice bike pal. Just wondering where you got the spokes for it and is it still a 18inch rear wheel also rear shock rebuild kit where did you source that? Cheers. Dave in Australia. You did a ver nice job on it

    • @jkiseracing
      @jkiseracing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used Dubya wheel for the rims and spokes. I do on most my builds. I sent the rear shock and forks to Factory Connection for service and rebuild.
