"Take my hand and let us pray" I scream please get the fuck away! Sometimes it's hard to believe there's anything watching out for us... The pain can be overwhelming
Listen to "All The Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues" then the "Priest & The Matador Interlude" and then "The Priest & The Matador." It tells the story of his attempt of suicide by jumping off the building and ends with him on the pavement dying. Listen to those 3 songs in order and it will give you chills.
Senses Fail is what music is all about. Showing who you are and what you stand for, not worried about people's thoughts. Buddy Neilson is THE best song artist ever, in my opinion, because he writes legit lyrics. Thank you Buddy!
I can relate to this song I almost died like 8 times because of my epilepsy and it pisses me off so much whenever I have a seizure because I just can't beat it like I lift weights I do sports I beat everyone and everything excepts for my epilepsy and when I have a attack I see people trying to help me and it just pisses me off I feel worthless and weak well that's my experience with this song
I would always listen to this when I was feeling down when I was about 14, and five years later I still come back. I wish there were still songs like this.
i remember i was walking through the rain one day listening to this song and it was just porring, then all of a sudden durring the middle of the song all the rain stoped and the clouds opened up and the sun came out and a huge rainbow just apeared over the bridge i was walking over,id have to say this is one of the greatest songs ever because it brings back one of the most beautifull things iv seen :]
@DeadTownManifesto1985 I graduated in 2006. i feel old but also young at heart. This song still really resonates with me, i feel hopeless. i hope i can be happy sometime soon :)
I associate this song to my first love. After two years we broke up.. But with this song, I can only think of the times when we would lay in his room and listen to music. Not talking, but just listening, all intertwined and quiet. He would always trace shapes on my arms or stomach with his finger so gently. Its a bittersweet thing for me to listen to Senses Fail. I just want to see him again..
This video and song are so awesome. Just the concept of the whole thing. It's amazing and just so creative! I remember the first time I saw it on tv I couldn't look away the whole time!
I was one of the collaborators in the writing of this video treatment. Nice to see that someone resurrected it after they buried it for a new version. I had the running of the bulls in Spain as part of this but I guess they thought it was too violent ...
I got through high school and college with this band and this song still resonates with me. I hate feeling the way i do at times but maybe this song helps at times, maybe it advocates it.
This song is just amazing. I find it disturbing though that, human nature doesn't really care about a person till they're dying. Like in the video the priest wouldn't care about buddy, but since he's in need and he can't help him, he fears for him. It's perfect on the director and the musicians that they got that right. Everyone cares when they can't help him. It's a sad and true thought, but it shows humans as compassionate creatures when we're needed to be.
I personally love how Senses Fail sets up their CD's. I also love how the songs tie in to each other. Much like this one and All The Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues, ending in the main character jumping off and this one picking up where he lands. Amazing, and with the strong religious ties in all their CD's Senses Fail, leaves a profound reaction on my every time i listen to them.
I listened to this all the time in high school, never thought for a second that I would actually be put in a similar situation. I fell 40 feet from a tree and somehow survived. Funny thing is, I know how he felt. Knowing this was it, and I couldn't do anything about it, but it hurt so bad, the seconds seemed like years, and by the time the medic showed up, I was counting down and praying for it all to be over.
I bought the album new on cd around October 2006 and listened to it on the way to the train station to get a train to college. really freezing cold mornings and evenings and this song was haunting whilst I was walking. it seems like yesterday. I was 20, just turned 30 now and it just doesn't seem like ten years have gone by. also this album marked the end of the senses fail I knew and loved, let me enfold you was just amazing beyond belief, then they turned heavy. too heavy for me now, just all screaming 😱
I saw these guys at Taste of Chaos like 2 years ago...random. They were really good there. I'm not a huge fan of their music, but they put a lot of emotion into all of their stuff and I respect the hell out of that.
@vampireskaterdopey This is more than just past relationships. This song is about his indifference and anger towards his parents, more-so probably his father. They watched a friend die in front of their eyes. This song is metaphorical to the things we feel like doing when we're down, but are in fact too spineless to do in real life. Their band name, Senses Fail, is a metaphor within itself considering the lyrics they put their hearts into(buddhist belief). It's much more than just 'some chick'.
I sang the whole song from the beginning to the end!! Damn, it seems like yesterday, but highschool was 7 years ago .. bad times emotionally and this song helped me get through.
Terrific song. The best of the album . . . by far. In my opinion, they used to be a better band. But this song is just as good (if not better) than their old hits. I hope in their new album (to be released relatively soon) they take their music more in this direction. keep rocking
Awww Buddy such a good actor! Probably cause both his parents are actors. PS I saw Buddy last weekend at Krazy Fest in Kentucky but was way too shy to actually go up and talk to him! He just hung out all weekend! He's short in real life....LOL!
my favorite part of the song is when he says -A man bends down and says, "Son, we're going to get through this one take my hand and let us pray..." I scream, "Please get the fuck away."
i love this song, its my favourite from the album. although the filmclip isnt what i expected but anything with buddy in it is amazing i love my boys (L)
I'm not one to complain about vevo on youtube but it really pisses me off these corporate assholes fail to realzie this amazing video even exists. Thanks for uploading I was really in the mood for watching it.
i love this song, idk if its been mentioned already or if you guys didnt already know, all the best cowboys, negative space and this song are all part of the same sad story/song.
I love how he brings it back to the old times..when he says the bow of william tell and that. it mkes it sound so original and good. orginal chorus; catchy and one of the best[=
this is my fav band, been with them before they were even big...i love this song live, buddy starts screaming into the mic, this song is very powerful, all of their songs are. 187 is definitely my favorite though, for the lyrics, and the crazy ass moshes that insue during the 1:30 breakdown at the end with buddy screaming.
Almost every SF sends a chill down my spine. Mostly because the lyrics are always applicable to me. I love Buddy. His lyrics are something that I would write about my life (If was a fucking lyrical genius).
This song is definatly a highschool memory...Bad ass song!! i wish music was still like this, when acctually meant something. 4 years ago seem too far and too long ago.
I actually teared up at this video..i know what that feels like. To anyone on here thinking of doing that....dont. If you truly think about it...theres so much that can change... I got closer to God and im now a search and rescue pilot for the United States Coast Guard with 26 saves on my belt. Those 26 lives could have been wasted if me and my team didnt find them...
@ScarredFlame Yea I was saying "Negative Spaces" is the part where he actually is falling since in "All the best Cowboys have Daddy issues" he counts down before he jumps. But either way epic song and album.
this is an awesome song one of my favs really love it its so deep and meaning full but i thought this film clip wasn't so great was expecting more in it....awesome song tho
my ex played the acoustic version of this song in his car while buckling up a beautiful necklace around my neck that he gave me for my b-day! HAHA it was such a romantic moment.
i always thought he said "from the arrow of will you tell" .. i thought the whole song was like a metaphor something that he did or saw that he regretted and when some one said 'will you tell' it made him realise how bad it was and then nothing mattered .. but now i know what he actually says its completly differnet but still very good although when i sing it i still sing it my way cus it means more to me. miss interpretted lyrics have something special to them
this is pretty surreal this is always how i always imagined this video only buddy wouldnt fall from a church he would fall from a building in some downtown area this is pretty fuckin cool to have this happen and good video as well
"A med bends down and says 'Son, we're gonna get through this one. Take my hand and let us pray.' I scream 'please get the fuck away!" ....Best line in the song.
"Take my hand and let us pray" I scream please get the fuck away! Sometimes it's hard to believe there's anything watching out for us... The pain can be overwhelming
A music video that is based on the lyrics? Never seen that before.
NOM NOM The interlude is called Negative Space.
NOM NOM damn never realized that
U mean purpose
I always try to tell people about those three songs and the message behind it.
Senses Fail is what music is all about. Showing who you are and what you stand for, not worried about people's thoughts. Buddy Neilson is THE best song artist ever, in my opinion, because he writes legit lyrics. Thank you Buddy!
I freaking love this song. Absolutely beautiful.
Youre not weak its just a glitch in your matrix youll be ok on the other side
I would always listen to this when I was feeling down when I was about 14, and five years later I still come back. I wish there were still songs like this.
i remember i was walking through the rain one day listening to this song and it was just porring, then all of a sudden durring the middle of the song all the rain stoped and the clouds opened up and the sun came out and a huge rainbow just apeared over the bridge i was walking over,id have to say this is one of the greatest songs ever because it brings back one of the most beautifull things iv seen :]
this song reminds me of high school....5 years ago lol damn has it been that long? shit, good times though :)
@DeadTownManifesto1985 I graduated in 2006. i feel old but also young at heart. This song still really resonates with me, i feel hopeless. i hope i can be happy sometime soon :)
I miss this so much..

Still one of my favourite songs / videos. Goose bumps every time
Still Searching, from beginning to end, is lyrically the best album I have ever listened to.
This song gets me every time... the video totally put me over the edge.
This video and song are so awesome.
Just the concept of the whole thing.
It's amazing and just so creative! I remember the first time I saw it on tv I couldn't look away the whole time!

The best song from these guys never gets old
It's amazing.
2024 still my favorite song ever written.
I'm surprised and love that the audio from limewire is the exact audio to the original music video.
2018 and still listening...
This song is just amazing. I find it disturbing though that, human nature doesn't really care about a person till they're dying. I almost fuckin cried listening to this for the first time...
I listened to this all the time in high school, never thought for a second that I would actually be put in a similar situation. I fell 40 feet from a tree and somehow survived. Knowing this was it, and I couldn't do anything about it, but it hurt so bad, the seconds seemed like years, and by the time the medic showed up, I was counting down and praying for it all to be over.
By far one of my all-time favorite albums.
this song brings back some really depressing and sad times in my past but i love this song so much!
I bought the album new on cd around October 2006 and listened to it on the way to the train station to get a train to college. really freezing cold mornings and evenings and this song was haunting whilst I was walking. it seems like yesterday. *This was OBVIOUSLY my fucking favorite by them*
I want this sung in my funeral.
+Mikhail Kolitwenzew nah, i just love the lyrical content of the song. Especially the priest part.
Yeah well, its a song about an former believer who kills himself because of his unbelief. Is that what you want?
+Mikhail Kolitwenzew LEAVE BIANCA ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!"Chris crocker cry"
