I love howe confident he has gotten with his voice. He went from rarely singing except backing vocals, to singing a lot more but with heavy distortion and effects, and now not caring at all singing with mostly just his voice.
The way I interpret "I'm in the mirror baby let it all out" is that we project ourselves onto the people we idolize and hes telling us to reflect on ourselves about it instead of putting it on them.
Agree with the mirror bit but then says knock yourself out so I think he is neutral about it just accepting that’s the way it is
He's saying that our idolization, is reflective of something inherently beautiful and good that resides within ourselves, and that we need to put that energy into ourselves, but also that if we need him for inspiration go for it. IMO

@@Jono997 no idea if it is intentional but I can't help but feel like it is. Porter is so calculated with his projects and the artistic vision of them. This feels like it's something he'd do on purpose.

Hey, this is pretty good. I didn't think I was going to gel much with this one based on the preview, and while I dont see it being an all-timer for me, it's a pretty fun song! I think I "get" it, in terms of lyrics, seeing some of the discussion and "hype cycle" around this and previous album releases. I think SMILE! :D is proving to have some pretty interesting directions for Porter to explore. Cool stuff!
