Groan, I always hate to see these arguments about how “cheap” a particular used exotic is. Mainly because I fell for it. In my case, I picked up a less than five-year-old Ferrari California, marketed as the most reliable and drivable Ferrari ever. In the approximate year and a half that I owned it, it suffered some strange transmission issue that required the Ferrari dealer to communicate with the Ferrari folks in Italy, as they couldn’t figure out what it was, a flat tire that ended up resulting in needing a rear end alignment, and a cooling fan replacement because a twig on the ground got sucked up into it. I’m not exaggerating, it was literally a twig. All to the tune of over 25k, on top of the monthly payments I was making. Oh, and I lost my ass when I went to sell it a year and a half later lol! Trust me, if you can’t afford a new one, you probably can’t afford to used one either.
That’s a good point. The purchase price might be lower, but you’ve got to think about the upkeep. Tires, insurance, repairs-those costs can add up fast. I wouldn’t want to dive in without being fully prepared.

@its_taps I've actually been thinking of doing that with a 12c Gonna be doing a conversation to a 650 front while keeping the original side vents (when i can afford one)
Honestly if performance is your thing the you can get then nissan z, the mustang dark horse, or the new supra for less than several of the cars you showed on this list, and avoid the maintence bills these yester-year cars come with. And if u even lightly modify the engines theyre pretty damn good. Plus u get a warranty and plethora of part availability becuz they are on TODAYS market. Also you failed to mention the camaro zr1s and the iconic mustang gt350 from like 2018-19. Those are also amazing performers and can be found for less than some cars on this list...and we wont even mention the amazing cadillac ct6-v blackwing and used bmw m5/m8s which are monsters as well. I own newer and faster exotics, like my McLaren, but I still love my Maserati GranTurismo. Interesting content, which IMO falls way short of reality. Even if one could afford the price of admission to many of these sports cars given their age, the cost to maintain and or fix up these vehicles cost a small fortune, with ongoing and never ending expenses. Maybe you should look at the content of TH-camrs who have attempted to restore these 20+ year old sports cars, and the length of time it takes to both find and fix issues that continue to occur given the age of the cars. A minimum of $300,000 in yearly income as well as unused cash/excess income to throw away, vs buying a new vehicle that is under warrantee and has performance far exceeding in many instances, the cars that you mention. If this was your dream car in your youth, understood. But at the above mentioned price points and the ongoing grief they have to offer, I don't think so. But hey, maybe you'll be the lucky one and get a used vehicle that is underpriced and cheap to keep. Uh Huh.
Bro, you need a second video with cheap super cars that also have cheap insurance premiums. Even I know any insurance company will charge you an arm and a leg for these cars, so you still need a lot of money to own one anyway. Sorry Bro, there's no such thing as a "cheap" sports car unless you build a sleeper. And even then, the cost for parts and mods start to add up. Only way to reduce the prices here is to know people. To everyone reading this: take solace in the fact that even Jeremy Clarkson thinks cars today are all boring and exactly the same. Gone are the days where we could look at a race car on the track and then buy that exact same one off the dealership.
@@TheDrunkenElephant Still not a single one of them is cheaper than a Type R civic which remember is the most expensive trim. Most people think of the average base civic when talking about civics 😂😂
Yeah you can buy one, but can you affors to maintain it. A lot of these cars, if you can't afford one new, you can't afford to maintain them when thay are used.

Uh Huh.
Didnt know civics costed 70k
I have yet to come across a C8 for 60k... Used or otherwise!
I've only seen 3- 40-60k but not in perfect condition
I see them constantly for 60k 🤣 the local dealer up from me actually has 2. A 2020 for 61k and a 2021 for 68k.
Dealerships here in Colorado are all $70+ used and that's for a base. Even Car guru's is steep with mark up.
Not one of these cars were cheaper than a civic LMAO
Civic type r 2024 is 40k
@@TheDrunkenElephant Still not a single one of them is cheaper than a Type R civic which remember is the most expensive trim. Most people think of the average base civic when talking about civics 😂😂
The r35 is not the Godzilla. The r32 is
audi rs3 stage 1
Yeah you can buy one, but can you affors to maintain it. A lot of these cars, if you can't afford one new, you can't afford to maintain them when thay are used.
Wait! When did under 100k become a affordable figure? What happened to the under 15k super cars smh 100k
And everyone selling used Ferrari 360s for 100k plus and they have a ton of miles
Cheaper than a civic...... wtf you just wasted my time
Me in the ambulance with a broken leg amd othe injuries What happened? Viper bit me.
Ferrari? Bring it for an repair and you find out; this is not a low budget super car
