I'd have never figured this out on my own. Fantastic video. I kept thinking, "Oh, I've got it from here." I most certainly did NOT have it from there. You walked me through every single step of the repair and I am oh so grateful. Thank you!
Your video saved me so much time and money - thank you! Both of my doors went out at the same time and I can’t imagine having to pay a body shop to do this. You’re a life saver!
This was just what I needed. My 04 lost the right side door a couple years ago, which was terrific when we were moving, had to load everything in on the drivers side - well a couple months ago, that one stuck too. That one always required a mighty yank to get it to open, but even that didn't work. I already knew about the plastic pieces breaking, but just kept putting it off and finally got my two sets of the replacement parts - had to go to 5 different Autozone stores to find two sets. Anyway, I followed your instructions to get the panels off and get the doors open which was a real leap forward. Then I got sidetracked two more weeks, and finally tackled the passenger side door this past Friday. I didn't notice that one of the retainers was different from the other three - so you saved me some fooling around there. It was difficult to slide the new parts over the cable insulation. I did all but the bottom one with brute force, that would simply wouldn't budge past about halfway, including the old WD40 trick. To the rescue was my trusty torch cigar lighter. My wife rigged up a socket and ratchet to hold the big end, I pushed with some good pliers on the cable and torched the middle for about 3 seconds and it slipped right on. So I again followed the video to put it back together, not trusting my memory from 2 weeks ago. I am 66 years old after all. I did want to mention - I think somebody else mentioned too, the bolt heads that hold the lower large door panel on were 6mm on my 04, perhaps this was changed. And the single bolt behind the window control panel was 10mm not 8mm. The thing that had me worried after taking it apart was getting to the bottom latch - again I stopped watching the video because I didn't have the parts yet. Never would have guessed that there were three more torx bolts from underneath. So my passenger side door is done and works better than it ever did. The driver side is all apart, but the cable popped out of the latch mechanism so I will need to figure out how to pop the latch without it, or string it back in to manually pull it. At least I know what it looks like now. Once I get that door popped open, it should only take me about an hour to finish the job. I love youtube. I replaced the passenger side front door window regulator on this truck a few years ago thanks to a youtube video, I did the job for $94 including the part. The parts for this latch fix cost $12.99 a set at Autozone once I found them. I also watched a great video on drywall finishing back about 12 years ago. My wife and I finished our garage beautifully, having never done it before. I've seen "pro" jobs that looked much worse. I've always believed never pay anybody to do what I can do myself, and I'll keep being a DIY guy until my arms and legs don't move anymore. Thanks again for the outstanding video!
Great video. The cat falling over for some love was adorable, give him/her some scratches. I bought the parts from your affiliate link, and feel confident on doing the replacement. Kudos to the person operating the camera too, really puts this together nicely!
Thank you Jayme, will do! We're unfortunately not an affiliate, but we're glad our link was a help. We'll be sure to pass the word along to Laura and our camerawoman Julie! :)
Outstanding video. This is the best lesson I have seen on this mechanical issue pertaining to a Ford F-150...particularly because the professor has a methodological way of showing you how to open the stuck door and how to replace the broken pieces in a logical way. Not only is she a great mechanic but gorgeous as well. My wife loved the kiddy cats as part the lesson plan. Kudos to you.
Thank you for the kind comment! We try hard to put out great content, and it's so encouraging to hear that we've been a help. And we sure do love our kitty cats!
Great video! As others have mentioned, the 9 latch tork screws are t27, not 25 or 26.. Definitely heat them with a torch (mildly) and they come right out. Also, the plasticoated cable ends that slip into the new pieces need some light sanding/grinding to smooth the indentations from the broken adapters. This makes installing the new ones very easy. The plastic cover just peels slowly away from the door with a little patience - no need to cut it away. Thanks so much for taking the time to create this.
I did the opposite... I was able to crank the torx screws off without much trouble, I saved the torch to slide that one last retainer on the bottom cable! I didn't even look at what number torx it was, I just got lucky on the first one I pulled out!
This is probably the best video out on repairing the doors on your Ford truck. I followed the video and watched it four times and I still can't get my door to shut. I know that you said play with the tension but I must be missing something. Great video though.
This is an extremely helpful video. I suppose that I would have eventuality repaired my doors on my 2006 F100 on my own but this video made it so much easier. Even included a link to the parts that I needed. Both doors repaired now. Great job. Thank you.
Thank you soooooo much for this!!! I have both doors broken on my truck and no money to pay somebody to fix it!! Y’all are doing God’s work by filming these videos for folks trying to do things on their own!! Thank you again!!
for a year the passenger side rear door could not be opened. The first couple videos i found were intimidating to attempt a DIY repair. So I didn't do anything. two days ago the driver side rear door suddenly would not open. Found this video, ordered the parts and received them today. Following your video was my next step and the first door now WORKS! Thank you for such a well made "how to video". Two items in you video were different for my 2005 F150: 1) The torque for mine was a T27. Trying the T25 first almost worked, but damaged the screw slots. 2) The screw behind the window switch was a 10mm. That was no big deal. Thanks again for a super guide. PS> what happened to your right thumb... noticed the band-aid. lol 😄 👍
Hi Chuck, thanks much for the detailed response. It is interesting to know that there were different screw/bolt sizes used in the manufacturing of these trucks. Re. thumb... always nicking something... I should wear gloves more often!
Life saver, thank you.. been procrastinating learning how to do this for a few years.. But I have a son on the way and have 2 months to get this fixed. Have had my truck since 2008 and the half doors stopped working a few years ago. My wife and I never used the back seats other than storage or to move things from one place to another so had no use until now. Much much appreciated!
so, a year or so later, this video is still helping people or at least me. I am very vehicle challenged. I did not want to spend the money going to an auto shop. I have a 2008 F150. Both back doors stopped working at almost the same time. One was completely not working; the other, I had to push in, pull the handle and pull the door. I decided to fix them, bought the same thing you did for the doors. I watched your video and was able to complete the task. However, it took me almost 3 1/2 hours, it took forever for me to get the metal all the on the cable and removing the old stuff from the cable. I had 2 bolts left over, I watched the video again and found where each one went. The one behind the window control. thank you so much for the DIY.
Thank you for this video. I have to do this on my father-in-law's truck over Christmas break. He hasn't been able to open the rear doors in a couple of years. With this video, I was able to order the parts and pack the tools I'll need to take to fix it.
Got my father-in-law's truck doors fixed. He was so happy. They hadn't worked in years and he almost forgot he had rear doors. He is 87 and still driving. Thanks again!@@hopfammedia
Thank you I fixed my truck today watching this video. 2004. The plastic retainers I did have on just crumbled between my fingers didn’t even need snippers.
This video is much better than others that I have watched. My only problem is, getting the cable into the the middle housing, You say just keep working it and it will snap in, well it hasn't yet. I've tried everything short of doing some filing on both pieces. I will give it another wack. Unfortunately, I stripped one of the torx head screws, now to figure out how to remove it. I also noticed that there was an edit to video when you were struggling with that center cable. I will keep trying and I will prevail! Great video, thanks!
While the video is done well and seems to show how easy and successful using the aluminum grommets can be I had a whole other experience. If you don’t get the tension right in each place where the grommets go it’s not easy getting the grommets back out and making the adjustments to make them work. And my experience was it was almost impossible and I had to give up on this method. I ordered the replacement assembly for each door which runs around $60 for both of them and all you have to do is simply replace them. Easy, effective and no guesswork required with the process. And a lot less work and hassle. So if you want to do like this video shows be prepared as it may not go exactly as planned and there’s an easier but yes a little more costly way but it is worth it to me!
You're right, this is a good point! The metal replacement grommets & tension overall can be difficult to adjust. We have a video on this same Ext. cab Rear Door issue using the replacement assembly part you're talking about: th-cam.com/video/XkgclESUfDk/w-d-xo.html
Thank you this helped a bunch! Even after fiddling I couldn't get it to reliably open. Sometimes the hinge wouldn't engage. After poking about to understand how it all worked I figured out that there is a physical switch on the door jam. It puts the latch on either side of equilibrium. I.e. prevent the backdoor opening when the front is closed, but letting open when not. I prised this off and there was another of those adjustable tension clips. I set this to raise the rod up a couple of teeth, which fixed my problem. Hope that helps others.
I had to use the torch method on all the screws because they were all to tight, even for my drill. I ended up burning a little bit of the black sponge on the top, but I was able to get them all out after heating the head. Thanks to whoever it was that suggested this.
Thank you so much! I bought a used 06 F-150 Lariat and the back door in the driver side was stuck. After buying the parts in your link and following this video, I’am happy to say it’s FIXED!!! 😁🙏🙌🎉
Solid video and tutorial! My '04 passenger side door broke and within 2 weeks the driver side door did too. Just part of being an older truck. Only difference is that on mine, the bolt under the window controller was a 10mm and not an 8mm like stated in the video. Who knows why but no big deal. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for the detailed explanations. I have to fix both doors on mine. I Just fixed the shifter cable bushing because it's also made of cheap plastic. Glad to see these after market parts are made tougher.
Thanks for sharing. Helping my friend w/ this, what a royal pain headache, Mercy. Worked on it several hours last Saturday & several hours again last night, getting closer & closer, but it shouldn't be so difficult. Thanks again for sharing this, very helpful. - take care
This just happened to 2012 ford f150 stx. Was thinking of taking to mechanic but after watching this great tutorial video… I’m pretty confident I can do it. Thanks
The sheath on my cabling was slightly serrated (I supposed to hold the original cable ends better) and it made sliding the new ends on the cable a bear - easily the hardest part of the whole process. Had to use a little silicone lube.
Absolutely Fantastic instructional video! Laura you are a natural mechanic and teacher. Thanks for the help as my 05 finally gave way to this problem. I had no idea how to open the door panels but you made it so easy to understand and accomplish. Great tool tips too!!
You saved the day! This video was perfect for me to fix my 2005 F150! Exactly like you showed in the video. Thank you for taking the time to do this. Really helped out.
Great video! Best video I found. Both my doors don't open. The last time I had my mechanic fix my doors, (2 years ago), one broke again within 3 months. (I think he had one of his other employees do it ) I haven't been back to get my doors fixed. Will purchase the metal ones. Your instruction is great. Thanks.
Well Laura my name is Laura as well and I’m not afraid to try to tackle something myself I have an 2004 F150 I love my truck and it looked complicated but your video makes it all go so smoothly thank you for sharing and I will be subscribing to you channel by the way I’m 70 but my mind is not
This video was amazing. Gave me step by step instructions to repair both my doors. There are no words to express how grateful I am that you did this video. Thank you.
Awesome video, and have looked at others. Admittedly the first door took 2 1/2 hours and many more tools than you! But second was done in 40 mins! Thanks
Excellent tutorial! I watched at least 10 other videos before finding yours. Those were very similar but your presentation and camera work are spot on. Thank you very much and keep up the good work! For those reading, I did run in to one issue. Project Completed On: 2004 F-150 XLT Date: 7-20-2021 Parts: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1G2QUT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Tools: As explained in the video Time: 40-45 minutes per door Issue: T25 bolts holding bottom latch stripped out. Resolution: Cut heads off screws using hacksaw. Pulled out latch. Heated bolts up using propane torch. Used vice grips to grab shank of cut bolts.Turned to loosen and remove (was super easy). Ran to Ace Hardware. Purchased M6-12mm 1/2" replacement screws. Fit perfectly. Other than that, it went pretty well. I am not a mechanic at all, but when I got a price quote of $375 per door to fix it, I was like "no freaking way!". Luckily I did a little research, found this video, and did it myself. It seriously is a very easy project and if I can do it, I promise you can too. FIX THOSE DOORS!
I've done this a few times and its as good a video as I've seen. I would like to point out, a butane torch might be useful in removing the bottom Torx screws, because Ford uses a killer thread locker on them. You'll likely break your #27 Torx bit before breaking them lose. With a few seconds of heat from the torch, they come out easily and the thread locker stays in place for when you put them back in.
@@KrolisMedia If you tried the t26 or t25 torx bit by mistake, you might have messed up the screw a little, but with a little torch heat and a t27 bit might still get them out.
Thanks for the tutorial. The way you did it was easy to follow. It took me about 2 hours to do it because I was distracted by nosey family members who were trying to see what I was doing and I misplaced 3 of the scews.😅😅😅
Both my rear doors broke last week on my 2004 F150. Ordered the 8 new pieces and installed them easily watching your video. My only problem is I couldn’t get my tension clip in the right spot so the doors would latch closed and then open easily. I finally put a rubber band under the tension clip and up to behind the clip above it. It makes it latch easily and then open perfectly. Hopefully it lasts. Thanks! It was a pain dropping off the kids at school with the back doors locked
Without a doubt, you are the best “explainer/demonstrator” I have ever viewed. VERY clear and helpful with all details. (Sorry, about your right thumb…I wondered if you were going to ‘find’ a sharp edge…hope that wasn’t the case.)
Well done, very informative. You are a brilliant young lady. My 07 did this to me yesterday and I replaced all of this on my 98 so many years ago I forgot it. Hard to believe Ford gets a way with this.
Great video! The only things I did different is use a plastic trim tool to remove the panels and squeeze the plastic pieces with pliers. They're so bridle they just crumble. Keeps from accidently cutting the wire. Thanks again for making such a great video.
Thank you very much for you video. It was the first to come up for the door problem on my 2004 F150. I bought the parts from you link and was able to follow your video and fix it. 👍🏼👍🏼
I will be starting this on Saturday. Botha rear half doors failed within 2 months. This is in addition to 6 other automotive issues around the same time.
Thanks for the Video , you did a great job but i still had to watch it many many times, finally successful thanks again. Some of my screws got stripped and had alot of difficulty sliding replacement metal pieces on, didn't slide on as easy as yours. I have 2005 FX4. Now to fix my sunroof & find out why i have this shudder at times.I only have 104,000 miles on it. But thanks to you for a good job!!!!
Appreciate the video big time!! It helped me out a lot and u did u good job explaining it!! Now I’m gonna teach my son how to do it and do it as a small project with me and him!! Your parents did a good job and brought up a handy young lady!! Good job
Great video. I would add.....check the aluminum replacement connectors. I had to take a hacksaw/sawzall blade and cut into the opening just a bit, so that the cable is centered in the connector and doesn't bind; causing the cable to get stuck and not slide properly.
Thank you for this video; it was a great step-by-step aide. Will add that I have a 2004 f150 and a T27 fit screws better than a T25. Replaced on both doors and they are working fine.
Thank you, I watched your video, ordered the kit you put a link to, and fixed my doors, it was really easy, hardest part for me was getting the new parts all the way to the last line on the upper cables. What I ended up doing was doing the one all the way on top while it was off the car and the one in the middle (that clips to the plastic yellow/white thing) was easier to push down all the way after I clipped it back on and bolted it. I got lucky and didn’t have to adjust any cables on my first try, I made sure to put the little rod that is in the yellow/white clip exactly how it was before I removed it, not sure if that helps or makes a difference. Thanks for the video
@@hopfammedia I forgot to mention, I used a dremel to sand down the area where the new metal pieces go because it had little ribs on it that made it a real big paint to slide all the way down to the line, thanks again for the video
Great video. The only hang up I had was the bottom part of the door/wire. The wire came loose (bc that was obviously where the plastic piece broke) so I couldn’t just pull the wire to release it. However, since I was having to replace BOTH doors at the same time, bc they broke within one day of each other, I moved to the other door, took it apart and was able to open it and look at the piece to figure out how to open the 1st door. The tension issue was a PITA as well on one of the doors. Thanks for the lesson!
Awesome. I found videos that detailed a door with a manual window but obviously that gets me no where. My rear door is as you demonstrated so disassembly was a breeze once I saw this video. Thanks. Great Time Saver !!
Hey there! Great video! I was able to get this done with your helpful instruction. HOWEVER, I did mess up one of the T27 Torx bolts on the bottom of the door. I ended up having to cut a slot in it with my drummer and use a big flathead screwdriver to get it out. I didn’t see the tips about heating the bolts with a torch until after I stripped the head. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement T27 bolt?
Appreciate the feedback and question @pdempse. I suggest you take the broken bolt to a hardware or fastenal store and match it up with a good replacement.
Worked for me. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally installed the 2nd top cable retainer as a regular retainer on the bottom of the 1st door. Had to go back and take everything back apart to swap that out so I could use it on the 2nd door. Added an extra 30 minutes to the project otherwise I would have been able to do both doors in a little over an hour. Learn from my mistake and pay attention to which parts are in your hand and save yourself some time and frustration 😅
Awesome video - carefully watched each step and fixed my 2004 doors. I didnt see the comments on the bottom T25 screws and one stripped. I welded a nut to the head and used a wrench to remove. That was annoying, but not the fault of this great video
Great video! However, one possible improvement that worked for me and may work for others is that I found that all 9 of the latch screws actually have T27 Torx heads, (instead of T25), which may explain why some people have stripped the heads when removing.
Great video - thank you! Glad they made a critical component of the doors out of plastic and then engineered it in a way that you have to do the work from the back seat, inside the truck, with the doors closed. Top-notch engineering, eh? Must have hired the Harley-Davidson drop-outs. But the good news is: it's only 100ºF out today, so being stuck in the back seat of my truck having a heat stroke is going to be a party. Really though - great video, thank you! You'll probably cut the time I spend in the back seat of my truck in half and they may not have to send the corner out for me 🤙 I do have a way of turning EVERY project into a complete disaster though, so don't rule anything out!
I'd have never figured this out on my own. Fantastic video. I kept thinking, "Oh, I've got it from here." I most certainly did NOT have it from there. You walked me through every single step of the repair and I am oh so grateful. Thank you!

You are welcome, glad to help. Thanks much for the post!
Good feedback @garygwd54. Please let us know when you get it repaired!
Good girl, It was a real help fixing my both doors, God bless you.
Your welcome!
Glad we were able to help, and that's great input. Thanks for adding to our community!
I had to use the torch method on all the screws because they were all to tight, even for my drill. I ended up burning a little bit of the black sponge on the top, but I was able to get them all out after heating the head. Thanks to whoever it was that suggested this.
So glad you were able to loosen your screws, and thanks for watching!
Its always nice when there is a parts link in the description. Appreciate the video. This will be one of my future projects. Thumbs up
Thanks much Jason. We appreciate the feedback!
Thank you so much! I bought a used 06 F-150 Lariat and the back door in the driver side was stuck. After buying the parts in your link and following this video, I’am happy to say it’s FIXED!!! 😁🙏🙌🎉
That is awesome!!! We're glad we could help, and thanks for watching!
I am so happy to find this channel i love my 2008 ford supercab
We are glad you've joined us! Thanks for posting.
Your most welcome Josh. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the detailed explanations. I have to fix both doors on mine. I Just fixed the shifter cable bushing because it's also made of cheap plastic. Glad to see these after market parts are made tougher.
Agreed @ThaReallansanity. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for sharing. Helping my friend w/ this, what a royal pain headache, Mercy. Worked on it several hours last Saturday & several hours again last night, getting closer & closer, but it shouldn't be so difficult. Thanks again for sharing this, very helpful. - take care
Your welcome Lee! Thanks for your encouragement.
This just happened to 2012 ford f150 stx. Was thinking of taking to mechanic but after watching this great tutorial video… I’m pretty confident I can do it. Thanks
That's great Bobby, we're glad we could help! Thanks for watching!
The sheath on my cabling was slightly serrated (I supposed to hold the original cable ends better) and it made sliding the new ends on the cable a bear - easily the hardest part of the whole process. Had to use a little silicone lube.
Thanks for the input Rich, and glad our video was helpful!
This video is VERY helpful. My rear door latches recently broke. Thank you!!!!!
We're glad it was helpful, thanks for watching!
Wow you are awesome this is the best one I've ever seen this lady knows what she's doing thank you so much for sharing this I'm amazed thank you😊
You are most welcome @paulfoster7346. Thanks for the encouragement!
I LOVE that you show ur mistakes.. That's good stuff so we can keep an eye out for those things. Thank you for the video
You are most welcome William, thanks for the encouragement!
Thanks 🙏 I have a 04’ 5.4L and eventually probably will have to do this in the future...
You're most welcome, glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for watching!
Absolutely Fantastic instructional video! Laura you are a natural mechanic and teacher. Thanks for the help as my 05 finally gave way to this problem. I had no idea how to open the door panels but you made it so easy to understand and accomplish. Great tool tips too!!
We're glad we could help! Thanks for watching David!
Other than not using an electric impact to remove all bolts to move things along this was the best video on how to do this type of repair on TH-cam.
Thanks Jason! We didn't have that tool in our shop, but it would have been awesome to use one!
You saved the day! This video was perfect for me to fix my 2005 F150! Exactly like you showed in the video. Thank you for taking the time to do this. Really helped out.
Thanks for saying thanks @goatfilms6054! Appreciate your post.
Great Video and Doors opens very easily now that I got the parts replaced As described in video, Thanks.😊😊
You are most welcome @RGE1971. Thanks for posting!
Thanks.
We're glad to help Ruth! Thanks for watching!
Well Laura my name is Laura as well and I’m not afraid to try to tackle something myself I have an 2004 F150 I love my truck and it looked complicated but your video makes it all go so smoothly thank you for sharing and I will be subscribing to you channel by the way I’m 70 but my mind is not
How cool!!! Thank you for subscribing, and we're glad we could help! :)
This video was amazing. Gave me step by step instructions to repair both my doors. There are no words to express how grateful I am that you did this video. Thank you.
So glad it was helpful to you Brian. Thank you for the encouragement!
Oh man, thanks for showing how the piece for the top latch works at 9:10 . No one else on youtube showed how to get slack out of the center latch!
We're glad we could help! Thanks for watching!
Perfect! We've been looking for a newer model repair video. Thanks!!
We're glad we were able to help! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video, and have looked at others. Admittedly the first door took 2 1/2 hours and many more tools than you! But second was done in 40 mins! Thanks
Thank you @JoMama! We're glad our video was a help! :)
Best video on this repair. Doing my 2006 this afternoon.
Glad we could help, thanks for watching!
Excellent tutorial! I watched at least 10 other videos before finding yours. Those were very similar but your presentation and camera work are spot on. Thank you very much and keep up the good work!
For those reading, I did run in to one issue.
Project Completed On: 2004 F-150 XLT
Date: 7-20-2021
Parts: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1G2QUT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Tools: As explained in the video
Time: 40-45 minutes per door
Issue: T25 bolts holding bottom latch stripped out.
That is awesome Joshua, we're glad we were able to help! Thanks for the added and detailed advice!
Thank you for the good advice Patrick, and thanks for watching!
I’ll try this. I couldn’t get my screws out and messed up a few of them. Idk what to do about it now.
@@KrolisMedia If you tried the t26 or t25 torx bit by mistake, you might have messed up the screw a little, but with a little torch heat and a t27 bit might still get them out.
This video was the best one in replacing the cr#p connectors that I saw on TH-cam .
Thank you
fmp47
You are most welcome! Thanks for posting.
I love to see us women handle things fearlessly. Greatly appreciate ya. AND LOOK LADIES 😲 she didn't even break a nail 🙄
Thanks for the tutorial. The way you did it was easy to follow. It took me about 2 hours to do it because I was distracted by nosey family members who were trying to see what I was doing and I misplaced 3 of the scews.😅😅😅
Great job Michael! Congrats on completing the job with obstacles!
Just repaired my door. This video was a big help!
Very glad it helped! Thanks for posting.
You are welcome @apsuhead. Appreciate you posting about your experience. Glad it's working again!
The 9 door screws on my 2007 F-150 were T27 torx. Thanks for the video, it was helpful.
Thank you for the clarification Levi! We are learning as we go, so this is helpful to all of us in this community!
I have a 2007 f150 Supercab and the T27 also fit better for me too.
Mine just broke today 🤬
Thanks for the video, it's a lifesaver!
Your welcome Jay! Glad to be a help.
Thank you so much for posting this tutorial. From the parts to get to the step by step details, this video is so helpful and accurate.
We're glad we could help Luis, thanks for watching!
Without a doubt, you are the best “explainer/demonstrator” I have ever viewed. VERY clear and helpful with all details. (Sorry, about your right thumb…I wondered if you were going to ‘find’ a sharp edge…hope that wasn’t the case.)
Thank you Tom! We think she's wonderful too!
Great video, thank you. My doors haven’t been open in years. Finally fixed them today!
That's great @billy10532, thanks for posting!
Well done, very informative. You are a brilliant young lady. My 07 did this to me yesterday and I replaced all of this on my 98 so many years ago I forgot it. Hard to believe Ford gets a way with this.
Thanks Danny, we think she's amazing too! So glad we could help, and thanks for watching!
Great video! The only things I did different is use a plastic trim tool to remove the panels and squeeze the plastic pieces with pliers. They're so bridle they just crumble. Keeps from accidently cutting the wire. Thanks again for making such a great video.
Nice! Plastic trim tools are a great option. Thanks for your encouragement and input!
Thank you for a video and the link for the parts. Helping a friend with this issue next week. May God Bless you. 🙏
We're glad to help, thanks for watching!
Awesome Laura! Both my cables/ doors have failed. I'll get the parts, watch again, and wait for a cool(er) day! Thanks
So glad we were able to help! Thanks for watching!
Great video. I just fixed my truck following your video and it was easy thanks to your video.
Followed it right down to the bandage on the left thumb. Again Thanks!!!
@@kmayo45 That's awesome! Glad we could help, and thanks for watching!
Thank you very much for you video. It was the first to come up for the door problem on my 2004 F150. I bought the parts from you link and was able to follow your video and fix it. 👍🏼👍🏼
We're so glad we could help Lisa, thanks for watching!
Excellent video, well produced, best by far of the many vids on this topic. Laura is a real pro......and beautiful to boot.
Thank you for the encouragement Tom!
Excellent job. Thanks for posting.
We're glad we could help, thanks for watching!
This is exactly what I needed to see to properly do this thanks for the help
That's fantastic @richierich6159. Really glad to help!
Thank you for your excellent video! I was able to fix my door in just a couple of hours with your instructions! 🤙🏾👍🏾
That's great Steve! Thanks for watching!
I will be starting this on Saturday. Botha rear half doors failed within 2 months.
This is in addition to 6 other automotive issues around the same time.
We hope you have a complete success this weekend! Note that you will want to pay close attention to proper cable tension.
Thanks Mary, glad we could help! Best wishes to you in your other repairs!
I have to repair my son's door latch at some point and you have made this a more easy job, thanks.
That's awesome! So glad we could help, and thanks for watching!
Girl, you save me such a huge headache! Excellent video. Thank you.
So glad we could help, thanks for watching!
Great video - I also have an '06 F-150, and the video was very helpful when I had to fix my rear doors recently!
We're glad we could help! Thanks for watching!
Appreciate the video big time!! It helped me out a lot and u did u good job explaining it!! Now I’m gonna teach my son how to do it and do it as a small project with me and him!! Your parents did a good job and brought up a handy young lady!! Good job
So glad to hear this Donald! We're thrilled that our video was helpful. Best of luck to you and your son on the repair!
Excellent tutorial and information. My 06 driver's side rear door just took a dump on me a few weeks ago. Thanks!!!
So glad we could help, thanks for watching!
Great video. I would add.....check the aluminum replacement connectors. I had to take a hacksaw/sawzall blade and cut into the opening just a bit, so that the cable is centered in the connector and doesn't bind; causing the cable to get stuck and not slide properly.
Appreciate the comments @tbdtobedetermined2353 . Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the video it was so helpful and thanks to you I fixed my car’s door!
We're glad our video helped you! Thanks for the encouragement!
This video is impressive. She does an outstanding job as well as the person videoing. Well done.
Thanks Rik!
Thank you for this video; it was a great step-by-step aide. Will add that I have a 2004 f150 and a T27 fit screws better than a T25. Replaced on both doors and they are working fine.
Thanks for watching Chris, glad we could help!
I have a 2007 f150 Supercab and the T27 also fit better for me too.
Nice to see a woman doing this… I’m going to order the parts and do mine this weekend 😊👍🏻
It's a family effort. Thanks for the encouragement! Hope you get it fixed soon!
Thank you!!! You're AWESOME!!!
Did you have a great Dad to teach you? Bet you did!😊😊
Oh yes, he's awesome! Thanks much for your encouragement @terrybeydler2966!
That is awesome! So glad we were able to help, and thanks for watching!
@@hopfammedia I forgot to mention, I used a dremel to sand down the area where the new metal pieces go because it had little ribs on it that made it a real big paint to slide all the way down to the line, thanks again for the video
I was wondering about that . Still having trouble with the bottom ones. I will try your technique of using the dremel tool to sand it. Thanks
We're glad we could help! Thanks for watching!
Awesome. I found videos that detailed a door with a manual window but obviously that gets me no where. My rear door is as you demonstrated so disassembly was a breeze once I saw this video. Thanks. Great Time Saver !!
We're glad to be of help, thanks for watching!
This was super helpful. About to order the part
That's great @shikimori-sama7315! Thanks for posting.
For anyone wondering why their T25 won’t work, try using a T27. It fits perfectly for me.
@004 F-150. Lost both in a week. Aluminum parts ordered. Thank you.
You are most welcome @docjeffry! Thanks for posting.
VERY VERY detailed best video out there no questions here
Thanks Javier, we're glad it was helpful!
Extremely well done. My son in law has this issue. Where did u get the parts?
Thank you Tim! The links to the parts we used are in the video description. Best wishes on your repair!
Just the video I needed. Thanks ! My truck door operates probably better than new.
Glad we could help, and thanks for watching!
This video helped a lot and saved me money. Thanks.
That's awesome! Glad we could help and thanks for watching!
Great feedback, thanks for sharing!
It works. I just repaired 2 doors while watching
That's great @luketurner3246. Thanks for posting!
I definitely learned something 😉 Thanks for the video! 🙏
Very Glad it helped @chakradjuzeus. You can find us on X.com at @HopFamMedia too if you use that. Thanks for posting!
Awesome video - carefully watched each step and fixed my 2004 doors. I didnt see the comments on the bottom T25 screws and one stripped. I welded a nut to the head and used a wrench to remove. That was annoying, but not the fault of this great video
So glad we could help, thanks for watching!
Hilarious @FreyaTheMalibgata! Stay cool, thanks for posting.
