How to CLEAN/CONDITION Leather AND Vinyl Seats
Where did you get the starter from
It has been awhile Tony... Can't remember. If looking, you should be able to find one at your favorite auto parts store.
The gen 1s EBs also have a leaky Vacuum Pump - Ford (DL3Z-2A451-B) located on the back passenger side. I found this out with mine after a while when I couldn't figure out where the smoke came from.
"Hangry," I love this!!! ❤👍
I have a chevy colorado 2017. This models up to 2020., have this issues. I did a research and I found out that in Florida was a class action lawsuit against GM because the Silverado had this issue. So I took my truck to the dealer, lucky me my truck was under warranty. When I explain to the dealer they try to deny the problem. But when they tested they found out it was the same issue for the Silverado. So they flushed the trans oil and had to reprogram the transmission. This issue should be repaired free of charge. Be what I was told this truck came out to commerce with the wrong transmission oil.
ha, I'm taking mine into the dealer THIS MORNING for this reason and I suspect they'll want to do the flush. Cost? $1000 cdn. Glad to hear that it should fix the issue. I recently just bought the truck and I got a great deal on it so I'm not whining if I have to put $1000 into it. Nearest truck with the low miles was $10,000 more than I paid for it.
Glad you bought it well!
I hope you're enjoying your week, Hop-Fam 👍. Love the content❤. Keep up the inspirational work😊.
Thanks @JoSh-oo-Ah!
This is probably the best video out on repairing the doors on your Ford truck. I followed the video and watched it four times and I still can't get my door to shut. I know that you said play with the tension but I must be missing something. Great video though.
Thank you Lonnie! It's probably a tension issue. Have you considered using a local auto bodyshop to set the cables?
Where do you get the brass parts from? Didn’t see a link. Will you come do mine?
Hi @johnhermann7013, you should find a link in the video description. Hope you get it repaired soon!
Where can buy this parts ????
Hi @regiss1423. You should find a link in the video description.
How much is the rear and door motor??
Not sure what the current price is @coreycoley72.
She didn’t even have to take the front bumper off?
This is why i left being a mechnic. This job is meant for people with good patience
Suddenly that 1960 something junker seems a whole lot more practical than a 10 year old car that just needs routine maintenance.
That's just a poorly designed car and another reason to stay far from US made vehicles. Japan and Germany just do it better from what I've seen living in the US
Reminds me of the 05-07 Focus. There's bolts that hold the headlights down that you can ONLY access if you remove the splash shield and it's a very SMALL space. I'm a girl with small hands and I STILL struggled. When I finally replaced it, I only replaced the bolts at the TOP of the headlights for easy removal. They stay snug and aren't loose. I can imagine I'd have spent a FORTUNE if I took it to a shop.
Right !?!
That's a bolt I wouldn't be putting back in if I owned the vehicle lol
I saw a whole new assembly… the bolt would’ve been real easy to remove after the headlight and it got legally separated
😃
Lol you gotta take the grill off no bolts on the bottom
I have a 2016 Camaro it probably has the L90 transmission, car has 23,400 miles it’s been flushed twice by GM and it still shudders and sometimes it feels like it’s slipping under a hard pull.
Wow...
@ took it to Chevy garage a couple days ago, they told me it was out of warranty so it would cost me 600.00 for diagnostics and flush. They looked it up and saw where it had been flushed two times before so it’s a recorded issue yet they claimed they had no records of there being any kind of issue with the 8 speed automatic transmissions, then told me it probably needed a new torque convertor, if they know nothing of any issue how did they know the next step of the troubling shooting?🙄
Right ?!?
anti theft
Engineers love to make techs mad 😂
Oh jeez. Just undo the bolts and Christmas trees that hold the inner fender to the front bumper. Give the edge of the bumper a tug and it will pop loose plenty enough to fit your hand and a ratchet back there to loosen the bolt. That one bolt only needs to be loosened....not completely removed like the other two headlight bolts on top. It's actually pretty simple.
Good points... thanks @djmindframe99!
I have a 2021 GMC Canyon doing the shudders, I'm going to take it to get flushed too! Do you recommend the OEM transmission fluid? Thanks for the video
Hi @tresiii20011. Definately not. It's my understanding that the OEM fluid could be one of the causes of this problem.
Just to be sure, so the dealership doesn't freak out, you brought your own transmission fluid to the dealership? And it's the brand you mentioned in your video?
@hopfammedia oh do you change the filter too?
Hi @tresiii20011, yes. That is correct. You might contact the service department ahead of time and let them know what you want to do. They may have this fluid on the shelf by now.
@@hopfammedia called the local gmc dealership, they will not do the mobile one transmission oil change, so I'm going with a local transmission shop that will do the job, at half the cost, thanks so much for your information.
😆"Famous Last Words"😂 Lol. No worries, Wednesday is just about over😊. Enjoy the rest of your week. Stay blessed.
Thanks Joshua, You too!
😂😂😂
Wow! Thank you so much

Simple and to the point! Thanks

My k20 has 4.10 gears and tachs 3200 at 70 mph
Good to know! Thanks Colton.
Hey, great video, Ive got mine all apart on the inside. It wont unlock at all, not even manually. Any ideas to get it working manually at least?
It's hard to say since I've never had a door lock to not work manually on me. I would check and making sure the rods connecting the door lock button to the actuator are on correctly. Because the part I replaced is an assembly controlling pretty much everything in the door, it can be difficult to pin point the problem. If your having an issue with an old door actuator assembly, you may want to consider a brand new replacement.
I had the twin to that truck and used it in a commercial towing business for 11 years your rear end gear ratio must have been too low causing high rpms on the interstate hydraulic hoses are cheap you don't need a tach if you have a good ear for rpms
Thanks Norman. Appreciate you sharing your experience with these.
Worked for me. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally installed the 2nd top cable retainer as a regular retainer on the bottom of the 1st door. Had to go back and take everything back apart to swap that out so I could use it on the 2nd door. Added an extra 30 minutes to the project otherwise I would have been able to do both doors in a little over an hour. Learn from my mistake and pay attention to which parts are in your hand and save yourself some time and frustration 😅
Great feedback, thanks for sharing!
Nice tool
Agreed, thanks Luis!
Cool tool!🎉
Thanks Rebecca!
If the truck is for work (in my opinion), I say keep it OEM for its reliability. The tuner seems like a good investment, especially if it helps with fuel management and boosts performance. I've used them with great success on my pre-runner/offroad rigs and one or two drift builds. Enjoy your weekend, Hop-Fam 😊.
Thanks Joshua! I'm thinking single car hauler use at no more than 70 MPH. Appreciate the feedback.
Thanks
You are Most Welcome!
Hello…! Rear end ratio…! I had a 1985 Chevy flatbed tow truck. It was fine on the freeway. This guy probably doesn’t realize that he had the wrong rear end gear. Mine, I think was a 3.08 or maybe 3.23 ? I could do 70 miles an hour all day long… Helloooooo
Where do I find this at so I could buy this kit?
Hi Ronald, you should find a link in the video description. Hope you get yours fixed soon!
I need that truck. My truck was stolen from me. I had a wheel lift 4×4 1988.
Sounds like a nice ride!
TOTALLY WORTHLESS Information I Wasted My Time Listening To. 😢😢😢😢😢...
Love the square body. I have 4 and looking for more.
i drove a wrecker with the same exact body when i was younger.
Great Trucks!
Thank you the Video! This was the best video on chaning the SCable spring Cable. My Horn works now! (wasn't working for 6 months). And all the buttons on SW work as well. I bought the part on eBay for $260 bucks! Always a Risk on eBay, but Luck was my side this time. If I would have went to the mechanic, they would have charged me $775 total!! parts + labor.
Great job @xmangel6052!
Yep, she was a beautiful truck. I love ❤️ those old trucks. Did you see those points sky rocket on the stock market? 😮 wow. Heres to hoping the economy keeps healing. Have a pleasant rest of the week, Hop-Fam!!! 😊👍
Thank you Joshua. We hope your week is great too!
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
Great! Your welcome.
Good girl, It was a real help fixing my both doors, God bless you.
Your welcome!
How much did it cost? I'm buying one that's similar but can't figure out how much to offer the seller. The heater core is busted
The market has changed since we sold this one several years ago @jim1855. You might check Kelly Blue Book - Private Party Value for a good idea on an offer price.
so it didn't even work? Bummer
Right ?!?
Aqui no meu país, Brasil, tem muitos vídeos falando de como tirar tudo mas ninguém mostrou todo o processo. O seu vídeo me ajudou muito e espero que ajude outras pessoas. Gratidão!
Then it's impossible to get the back panel back in. You can make it look so easy and there's metal clips so you just kind of smash in there now. Everything's hanging out in the back of my vehicle. You need a special tool for this
You need to tight the outside bolts you first pull off. This draws in the other four bolts. If you don't do this, you'll end up losing the nuts like I did inside the vehicle. Also too. I don't know how in the hell this woman got her hands between the glass and the freaking plastic. I had to make a tool to yank the plastic off. I wish people made things legitimate on these videos and not try to make it look so easy
I would love to see interior upgrades 2008-2016 tow mirrors and seat swap on this older F550 truck
Working thru some ideas... thanks much for the suggestions Luis!
