I sing and i practiced wendy's lines a lot and its harder than most of her belting parts. You can easily go sharp or go flat 😄. Even Seulgi quite struggles on her prechorus part during their live perf. You need proper and combination of techniques to be able to pull off that part flawlessly like wendy did.

From the vocal fry, riffs and runs, syllables choice, breathing, control and support. Everything was so on point and beautiful. The last thing she added to make it sound even better is "the feeling". She really makes that song to sound like her own, and not even a cover. It's always hard to do a slower song without instrumental and only rely on simple guitar or piano cause if you screw up, people will definitely notice you but there, Wendy just slaps everyone and proves that she's really a gem. I REALLY LOVE THE COVER AND I'LL ALWAYS FLEX THAT EVERYWHERE

I've noticed that people always love to call her "The Best Vocalist in the 3rd Generation" but wouldn't dare bring up 2nd generation or any other singers' names to compare her with simply because of... seniority? I think it's a little..... but anyway, it could also be to avoid fan wars which I guess is good. But to get to my point, this is totally just my own opinion, I think she's better than a lot of singers in the industry, including groups that are still active, and those not. Do some people have a higher vocal range than her? Sure a few do, but do they have Wendy's vocal technique and incredible versatility? Nope. That's what makes her the best for me... her ability to conform to songs yet make them her own at the same time with total ease. She is scary good, and she'll only get better.

wendy's prechorus verse in psycho is one of the hardest to pull off imo. you need really good technique and wendy did that flawlessly live.
