A lot of people can sing, but not everyone has the empathy to teach people how to sing. it's easy to say "Use your head voice" but a lot of people don't even know where to begin with. i think why this clip attracted a lot of people, was because wendy didnt just assumed everyone got it, she just knew where to help them and help them the easiest way she knew, she didnt look down on them, she just wanted them to be able to sing to their fullest potential, and that's on what a good mentor
@@Moors-f7n they may not know her personally, but it is clear that she is a good and kind teacher, and she has shown herself to be a kind person during her time as an Idol, it is not unreasonable to put two and two together and say that her teaching style comes from her personality

Actually Wendy have a vocal nodule so she was actually in a critical condition whether she can debut or not but there is one SM coach that train her well. So she without a doubt have the best vocals technique. And I am so glad she is using those skills to help others. Besides being a good singer Wendy is such a good human being❤️

Again, training under SM gave her the nodules. SM is only good finding people WHO sings, it's not always about thee company.
I wouldn't say she is a "great" dancer - but she is a solid dancer that works well in RV (who doesn't have the most difficult choreo - kind of like Solar in Mamamoo.)
Woahh, that's a genius way to teach somebody. Help them improve without saying any bad judgmental words or without any lying to make them feel better. But she just giving them techniques to improve their skills right away after hearing their mistakes without saying that they're bad.😲
Only if she wants to ofc but it would be cool if Wendy did some special classes once in a while for the sm trainees. Her experience, techniques and attention to detail could help them improve in leaps and bounds, she's not like a ggondae at all when advising them she's warm and caring and sweet
She probably does already, lots of kpop artists once they become veteran artists start mentoring trainees within the company just like how Taeyong sometimes be a dance mentor to other trainees
Just because you don’t see it filmed doesn’t mean she isn’t doing it already. It could be that they haven’t debut yet or it just hasn’t been brought up conversation on screen This goes for many other idols
Even if they don’t get through on this audition they learned something they could take forward and gained confidence in developing their skills. If only all talent shows had this kind of approach instead of creating drama for views.
Wendy is an amazing idol! Ive been saying this for almost a decade now since becoming a fan of hers. This video continues to show that i was right in picking her as my female ultimate 💙💙💙
do note that not all vocal coaches can make a lesson productive at the same time be fun.. wendy did both effortlessly.. that only comes with both personality and experience
My admiration for Wendy grew even stronger. She has worked so hard to develop her talent that she has become the ultimate singer, one of the best of any generation. Her technique is very solid, her skills very broad, a true vocalist, currently the best in an active band.
this is why Wendy is amazing, the fact that she maybe a judge, but she immediately helps out and shows how to improve with things that should be shown...Wendy wants to see the improvement because its like she knows they can get it!! you go Queen Wendy!!
Dream teacher, for any speciality or profession. She doesn't judge you; she is there to help you. She will want to make fun of herself instead of you, and she will explain to you with no judgment, no frustration, and without shaming you. Many think that being a great teacher means being strict, but it means being empathetic.
Having a great teacher is such an important part of developing your voice. Taeyeon had the advantage of being taught by The One, and that was certainly a big part of how she became one of the best voices in Kpop.
she's a good teacher and would make a great vocal coach for the next generation of talent im not big red velvet fan nor do i know any of their music but she seems to know how to get the best out of people

THIS is why I think comparing singing skills between idols is unnecessary. With a vocal coach like this, training every day you can get extremely good in a very short while. But may coaches aren't this good. Some stay vague in their teachings, and concentrate on wreaking your ego bit by bit until not a sound even comes out. I am pretty sure that many companies invest tones of money in vocal coaches just for them to perfectly fit into the description I just gave. Wendy sure is amazing. PS: I love how she was out there changing the man's life meanwhile JYP was like "Don't close your eyes when you sing" lmaooo
I dont know korean, but a little bit of singing. the first guy wasnt supporting his breath enough and with much tension. the lean your back on the wall is a techinnique to learn how to engage your ribs and tummy muscules to give the balance amoung of pressure without tension on his shoulders and neck, that he was doing. the girl was flipping to falsetto / head voice and not going to mixed voice / belting. A similar problem to the guy, she had to learn how to create more pressure in balance with her high notes. thats why the yealling in the room, to go there with more power and intuititive way, without hurting her self. the high cheeks (smilling vowels) and forward tounge is to create the more "happy" and bright sound typical of belting. Good teachers can be like a gps, guinding to the best route, but if it wasnt well extabelish exercises to them to pratice this transformations may not be well learned for them in a later date when training alone. Or at the time of the next competition.
