Kobe responds to the criticism he received after saying Emily gained weight when he reunited with her for the first time in two years. People in Africa vs the U.S and Europe are totally different looking. I can see mostly why it is a compliment in Africa vs the US. Obesity is a serious issue here in the US. Africa not so much
Because in the U.S., skinny is the ideal beauty standard and being told you’ve gained weight is usually associated with looking less attractive unless you’re severely underweight.

Exactly like being super skinny is not healthy nor attractive! Eating healthy and exercise is being healthy! She’s keep saying she gained weight, her baby is almost 2 years old, she could have lost the baby weight if she would eat healthy and exercise! Period! I saw lots of mamas who got back to their normal weight after 6 -9months they gave birth! So giving birth is no excuse!

I’m so so so so excited for this season!! This last season of Before the 90 Days was exhausting and fake but these couples feel genuine and it’s so much easier to get invested. I really like Emily and Kobe!!

I'm from the Caribbean and when a person meets someone they haven't seen in a long time that's one of the first thing they mention and usually when someone is gaining weight especially after marriage the popular opinion is that they are happy.

I think I’m really going to love this couple to be honest. I truly don’t think he has a problem with his weight. It sounds like he was answering a question… And to say she hasn’t gained weight would be a lie. He basically said she has gained weight and he loves her as she is.
If he really is an international model, he is around super skinny ladies all the time. She wasn’t model skinny when they met. He probably prefers girls with more “body”
He’s also African & they tend to prefer thicker girls. If someone calls you fat, it’s a compliment.

I think it is totally okay to have preference. Why would it be racist? Some people like strawberry, some people like purple colour, some people like how Asian/white/black girls look like. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with it.
