If I could, I would give you multiple thumbs-ups for the concise, straight, devoid of a load of bs tutorial. Following your steps, I succeeded in installing the quick head, which I absolutely couldn't have done, as the new head came with no instructions at all. Mindboggling that something as simple and at the same time intricate installation would not have words, pictures, video, SOMETHING. Unreal! Thank you for your work.
I bought one of those for my stihl 130r and when it stopped running bought a stihl 91 and couldn't remember how it went. I watched a few videos and then put it on. I really don't mind changing the line since I have two heads on hand but I'm using it now.
Good video. I bought an Echo Speedfeed 400 for my KM130R, that way I have .105 line in my stihl head, and .095 line in my speedfeed head and can swap heads as I need to. The stihl heads are tough as nails, but it is nice to load line into a speedfeed.
The Speed Feed is great. But I like the Stihl 26-2 version better for my Stihl trimmers. Easy, straight-up replacement with no adapter required, no gap to catch grass & weeds, works the same for me, & has proven more durable for me.
Yes the 26-2 Stihl Head is superior for Stihl Trimmers, in my opinion, due to the fact it is made by Stihl for Stihl trimmers. I made this video for people that like the old echo - shindaiwa style heads and want to use on their Stihls. I really apprecite you watching and commenting. Please come back for future videos. We have lots more planned.
Wow! A FS361 is a beast! That is a different animal entirely. I don't think there is a non- STIHL Speedfeed head for this unit. But I could be wrong. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Because the speed feed head is a one of the major features of echo and shindaiwa trimmers. STIHL has their own version, but it is different, and in my opinion not as good. The title is making a call to the fact that this STIHL is using a head that was made for its competitors. Thanks for watching.
Because STIHL trimmers were not supposed to use the special head that their competitors use as their most popular selling feature. It's not meant to be serious. Have a good night.
Very helpful thank you!
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you found it helpful!

Awesome!
Appreciate the support!
Does the string line up with the line cutter on the shield?
I've never had an issue with it not cutting the line. Thanks for watching.
I bought a universal speed feed for my stihl fs361. Unfortunately the speed feed was not able to fit on the stihl

It’s a good video, but why the “Is this forbidden?” title???
