This is the Bible for a Maytag Neptune ! Well Done !
Thank you for watching, appreciate the kind words.
Thanks for taking the time to film all of this hard work! You make it look easy lol! I have the same washer. 23yrs old and works great! It was bumping up to spin a little louder than I liked in the last year or so but I replaced the belt and that fixed that. I think I’m gonna go ahead and get a pedestal for it though. That’s a nice set up. Thanks again for sharing!
Thanks for the nice comment, it was a bit of work but fun too. My wife’s favorite part of the set is the pedestal’s (great for storage), and less bending when loading and unloading the washer.
Thanks for the video. I have Neptune since 2001 and water was not draining. I was going to buy a new machine but now I know it just needs to be cleaned!!😅
@@meiyang5969 Great news, hope the cleaning helps.
Thank you for the video. I'm going to deep clean one tomorrow and I want to do a timlaps with pictures. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to put this information into a detailed video.
Glad it helped, thanks for watching.
Dang. What i needed was a tutorial on cleaning the dispenser but when i got to that part, you just put it back in. Lol
Sorry mine didn’t need cleaning, I have taken it out and cleaned with toothbrush and 409
Pity these are not made as new units anymore.
They appear to be excellent as per service break apart demo🎉
Agreed, these gems with proper maintenance will last.
Great video EXCEPT you should've shown how to take off the front cover. That's the part I needed the most.
Sorry about that, I did say in the beginning of the video that I didn't think about that till I got it taken apart.
@@exoticwoodpen don't mistake my comment as criticism, it's very valuable information.
HI, I loved your video. It looked straight forward but I'm not sure my husband and I could do it ourselves? What kind of service person would be able to do this for us and put on a new gasket too. We have the same model and ours is 22 years old. How do I clean out the drain. It is in front right? Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching, I would look for an appliance repair service in my area they will be able to handle everything.
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing! I have the exact same set. The soap dispenser is getteing rusty on the inside, so I need to disassemble and try to clean it up and paint/protect it. The dryer is squeaking, so I’m thinking about buying a rebuilding kit with new belts/pulleys/bearings. These machines are 15 years old or so and are still going strong. I’ve ordered a new set, however would like to keep these as a backup. They don’t make them as tough any more.
Thanks for watching my video, I have only had to touch the dryer once when the igniter wasn’t working. I will keep maintenance on them as the new ones are not as good as these as I was told from a repair guy.

I agree 💯
great video, yours and about three others helped me through the bellows and deep clean. but I ended up with an extra hose clamp and three screws!?!?!?
any suggestions for a belt? I ordered one, but it was so thick it was rubbing against the tub.
Thanks for watching my video, sorry I don’t know anything about the belts.
Thanks for the video. I have the same model washer. It worked fine until I cleaned it with the vinegar and hot water. It shows Lr error code. The drum is full of water and it’s not spinning. Do you know what could go wrong? Thanks in advance.
Sorry I don’t know anything about the codes, I just took this apart to clean it and document how bad they get. Sorry I can’t help, you might want to call a appliance shop for help.
@@exoticwoodpen no worries. Decided to buy a new one.
Is there a simple way to check the drain hose for clogs? I have a stacking unit and taking it out to access the back will be VERY difficult. The washer isn't draining -- it's trying to. But now sounds like gravel spinning or something trapped rather than the drum smoothly gliding.
I don't know how to check for a drain hose clog. I have never owned a stacking unit. Sorry I can't be of any help in this area.
@@exoticwoodpen Ok. Thank you. It's a MAYTAG NEPTUNE TM SUPER STACK SL-3 ... and the inner assembly looks to be the same/similar so I thought perhaps you'd know. WHat you did show helped me a lot, but I'm still stumped by how to clean the filter :( ... Thanks for getting back to me.
Can you share the part number for the gray seal you replaced? I have the same washer & it’s in desperate need of a deep cleaning.
The part I bought was in the description. Thanks for watching.

Hi, i was wondering where did you get the new bellow?
I bought it on Amazon, here is the link : 12002533 Quality Supply Door Boot Gasket for Various Washer Models with Drain Port 22003070, 12001772, 12001876, 22001978, 2200307
Sorry but this vid is not for me, I like the one's on pen turning. So sorry Gabe.
No worries
I'm grateful for it. Our Neptune is going wonky and is a pita to clean. So thx for taking the time to make this.
dude. you left major important disassemble out. lame
Like I commented in the video I had already taken it apart after I decided to do the video. Not hard to disassemble.
Disassembly is the opposite of reassembly, which he showed in the video. If you don't feel comfortable with that then I suggest getting it done by someone that does.
