I think the sweater colors look fabulous together.

Congratulations on your new job. I also work at a local non-profit as the Director of Operations that has everything to do with the grants and soft money that keep the doors open. Thanks for adding your talents to your local community organization. ❤

So wonderful, as ever, to see Ebony’s tail. But what a treat to see Sherlock. They’re adorable. Great acquisitions and knitting - love that you have the dilemma of what set of yarn you might use for the Geogradient knit - IF you do it. I’m finishing the third baby top from the same no-seam, knit/purl flat pattern, using up yarn I’ve carried with me through three or four house moves and probably a good thirty years. Sadly, even though I have a button stash too, I don’t have enough of the right sized buttons. Always the way.

Glad to hear your new job is going well! I always feel like that too, I'm so excited to cast on and about a few hours in I'm second guessing everything. I really love the main color of that sweater and think that your contrast color will look good, I feel like the first row is always hard to tell but I think it will look better as it goes on.

Love your shirt and scarf !!!! Can't wait to see your shawl finished. I love moose as well. we had one walk in our backyard a couple of years ago. I didn't get to see it, but my husband got a picture of it as it was walking away :-)

That's so cool! I think it's so cool when people live somewhere where wildlife can walk through their yard!

I say, "La C-R-OY". I've never heard it the other way. I'm in America. I just googled it and it's pronounced the way I said above in English. The way you said it is the French pronunciation. I like your black scarf and your T-shirt!

La Croy. Your T-shirt looks great! Sherlock is the best co-host. A beautiful new scarf just in time for cool weather~it won't be long until snow flies. Socks, a hat, a shawl, and new sweaters started, seems you've done more stitching than you realized! Not sure about the caramel in the cardigan, what about a soft yellow? Good luck with your new job!

I hope snow comes early this year! I agree, I am not sold on the Caramel in the cardigan yet... I think I need to mull it over and see

    "Theo steht im Tor"
Opal always has such funny names for its sockyarn 😁
This one is: "Theo is the goalkeeper."
Maybe you use another word in the US?
    Chris from Germany

The names are so funny!!! Also, that makes sense. I was taking the literally translation of he stands in the gate, but being a goalkeeper also makes sense! Thank you for that!

By the way, Regenwald means rainforest ☺️.
Do you have some more Opal sockyarn in your stash that has funny German names?

    • @DoSoKnits

@chrishunter7760 I do! I bought a lot of the Regenwald line and they all seem pretty funny/obscure
      Florian der Flankenheld
      Die Schiedsrichter
      Hugo haut in rein
      Sven stürmt nach vorne

@@DoSoKnits You are right. Even to me the names of the colours sound quite weird... However, they are all related to football (soccer).
The first colour is difficult to translate, but it means that Florian is a hero when it comes to passing on the ball.
The second colour is easy: The referees.
The third colour describes Hugo who shoots the ball vigorously into the goal.
And last but not least, Sven storms forward.
Opal often chooses such funny names for their editions.
