    Just a thought, if you did the lakes sweater, you could do a contrasting color for the neck, hem and sleeve hems. Or, if you like stripes or color black, you could customize it with several smaller stripes or one big strike. Thanks for your program. It's always a treat to get a notification that you've posted a new video.

    So many great choices! I’ve had my eye on Stick Season,too! Your handspun is gorgeous. Loved seeing sweet Sherlock, too.

    I also just finished the So Basic for my husband. I used my Purple Lamb LOTR advent, I opened ahead of time. I made it striped. So you could totally colorclock that pattern using several skeins you don’t have enough. 😊😊

    Love your hand spun yarn. I’m having a hard time picturing it in the tessellated. So it will be fun to see your swatching when the time comes.
    Thanks so much for the little audio photo clue and leaving them up while you talked. Gave time to finish a few stitches and still see them and your yarn picks.
    The Kerr sweater is beautiful. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Fingers crossed your yardage is good.
    Lots of fun knitting ahead!

      I'm excited to see the handspun in the swatch also!
      I am glad the audio cues with the photos helped! I know I appreciate that when I watch videos as well!
      I'm so glad you like the Kerr. I think it's such a fun sweater!

    I really love the Glenbarrow pullover by Carol Feller. It's a raglan sweater and I've knit it 4 times so far. I made one out of 6 skeins of berroco ultra alpaca that's about the same shade as your cascade 220 and I love it. I was initially hesitant to knit it because Carol is quite slender and I'm SO not but it's surprisingly flattering. Also for the yarn you were considering a color work sweater you could check out sweaters by Jessica McDonald. I'm just about finished with her blizzard sweater and I love it. She has a lot of great color work sweater patterns.
    Love all your yarns and you're going to have some beautiful sweaters when you're done!

    Highly recommend “First Raglan Sweater” by Brooklyn Tweed. The pattern is only $5, comes with tons of options for modifications (like stripes for when you don’t quite have enough yarn for a full sweater) and the fit is amazing!!

      I have heard good things about this sweater! I do think it is a good contender for the green yarn if I include some stripes!

    I always find these types of videos so inspiring! I already knew most of the sweaters, but I really enjoy seeing what yarn you plan to use 😊 I might have a few ideas for some patterns for some of the yarns you showed: (disclaimer: I haven’t made any of these patterns myself 😅 I'm quite a slow knitter)
    - The Tolsta Tee by Rebecca Clow. I saw that you already had some of her patterns in your queue, but if you're looking for a good raglan pattern, maybe this one is it for you. And the pattern is both in a fingering weight and a dk weight in the pdf. Maybe something for the beautiful red yarn from the Leading Men Fiber Arts?
    - The Soho Top by Caidree. I've been wanting to make this myself for a long time, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe you like it for the yarns you don’t have alot of.
    - The Moon Set Tee by Ozetta. The same as for the Soho Top, I just really like the classic design, but haven’t had the time to make them myself.
    - The Big Cozy Cardi by Andrea Mowry. Last but not least, this cardigan. As soon as I saw the La Biena Aimee suri I thought about this cardigan! I LOVE the color of that suri!!! and I think it would look AMAZING as the collar of that cardigan 😍 As the main yarn I would look for a color that is also shown in the suri, for example that orange. I’ve been thinking about starting this cardigan, but haven’t yet, because I haven’t found the perfect yarn for it in my budget range. And it is quite a daunting project because it is a sport weight oversized cardigan 😅
    All the patterns that I mentioned have 9 or 10 sizes, so pretty size inclusive. I’m really looking forward to see what you are going to make this year!

    I love this!! So many good sweaters to add to my queue 😂. What about the Dornie Sweater by Rebecca Clow for your Cascade? It’s worsted, raglan, and a classic cabled pullover. It would be gorgeous in that yarn!

      Thank you! I am glad some sweaters made it to your queue!
      I do really love the Dornie... maybe it will be a good back up or another option for some of these Worsted SQs I have

    Have you considered the Lento for a
    Raglan with your fingering and mohair? Mine is not using much yardage and is knitting up quickly. I think you and I are close to the same size and I will easily make
    It with 3 skeins of fingering plus mohair. I have about 15 SQ so I’m not sure that is doable in 2024, but I’m going to try.

    For the cascade .. maybe it would work for a fieldsweater or a field cardigan by Camilla vad?

    What about a Dornie for the green worsted ?

    • @DoSoKnits
      @DoSoKnits  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love that option! I looked at the pattern page, and I think I'd be a bit too short on yardage, though. But this sweater is one I have in my mind!

    Stupid question: what exactly IS a sweater quantity?

    • @DoSoKnits
      @DoSoKnits  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not a stupid question. I think it's different for everyone and yarn weights, but in the simplest, an amount of yarn you need to knit a sweater.
      For me, it's about 600-700g of DK or Worsted or 400g of fingering weight, but it really depends on the sweater too
