The sweater you are knitting for Shane is gorgeous. I watch Nancy from Knit Sip Happy. She often talks about her e-spinner. I am seriously thinking about getting one for Christmas. I also watch The Sip-n-Spin. She has great information, if you haven't found her already, I think you will find her interesting. Enjoy your day. Kim
I'm making the Maybury Cardigan by Amy Lowden. The constructed is done the same way as yours, and I am enjoying it so much. Ya for spinning :-) I'm addicted.
Hi! 👋🏻 I’m Heather. I met you at the Salty Blonde trunk show on Saturday. I watched this episode while knitting a Musselburgh. Your handspun is freaking gorgeous! That’s the perfect scummy green and is going to be so good in your Tesselated. Can you explain your 4-hour knitting system? I have too many big projects going and need some motivation to get them finished.
Hi Heather! It was nice to meet you! I love a musselburgh, I have plans to start another soon!. My 4 hour system - I call knitting sprints. I talk about it in ep. 57 and 58 in more detail. Basically, what I do is pick 3-4 projects. I number them. Then I knit on the first four 4 hours. It can be in multiple sessions, but I just keep a timer, and I have to focus on the for four hours. Once I hit 4 hours, I can keep working or move on to the next. And repeat. I don't break the 4 hours, and you work in the order of projects. I've found it pretty helpful. I usually have an additional small project like a sock or musselburgh to have for car rides, dinners, etc for when I can't work on my larger 4 hour projects.
I’m wondering if you can give me some advice. I am going to make the winters pullover by ozetta which I think calls for a similar weight yarn as the oversized seasons cardigan. I went to Joann’s tonight and picked up the same yarn you are using. Will you make any adjustments since the yarn is a little lighter weight than the recommended weight or did you just make sure you made gauge? I’ve made socks, accessories, blankets, etc., but never a sweater and I don’t want to make a big investment in yarn for my first sweater, not knowing how it will go. Thank you so much for sharing!
LOVE your podcast, the shawl and socks are beautiful. The fisherman’s wool and cardigan pattern look like a perfect match!
Okay now I need to start a single malt.. it's gorgeous! Your handspun is so pretty, too! Can't wait to see it knitted up
Love the yarn for your DVD socks! They will be very wonderful socks!
