Your operation looked efficient to me. You picked up supplies at Makro in the morning, and by afternoon, those supplies were in the hands of people stuck in the second floor of their homes due to floodwaters. Can't beat that.
It's irrelevant whether it's the worst or minor flood. Whenever anyone is affected, as human beings, we have to care and help whenever possible. Kudos to you all for helping. You guys are beautiful people. The world is better with caring hearts like yours. I respect and admire you for your compassion and hands-on help to those in need. Big respect.
its great to see many out helping one another. its a shame a lot of people who downplay floods like this are just maligned but what they see on tv, almost yearning for death and destruction in order to feel like something is "extreme" or a "real" disaster. these people have had their daily lives disrupted and devastated in a major way, these are the people that keep the city going. keep up the great work jon
Lol, I'm one of those now to my in-laws. They scream about needing to move the cars to higher ground, put the washer/dryer on bricks, move stuff to the 2nd floor. etc. I tell them to settle down. I'm looking at topology map, our local streets. Yes, there are some neighboring streets with water but that's due to poor drainage from the rains, and not the feared wall of water coming from the mountains. Water flow has been posted online. And the community have the pumps started so those watery streets should disappear soon.
@@darwinjina i understand if you yourself are on the ground and can see the situation for yourself, I'm more talking about those who were commenting that its only knee deep and that no ones really affected.
you are doing a good job jon, you encourage me. I was discouraged after losing a trade, but I saw you help people, I realized i have no reason to sulk.
Well done to you and your lovely wife mate. I’m in Lamphun tonight and saw some houses close to the river that have flooded. Couldn’t see too well the few I drove past but doesn’t look too bad but just my brief observation. I’ll be in CM tomorrow. Would like your thoughts on how I can help mate
Thanks mate, yeah hopefully Lamphun will be ok. I think getting supplies to that place where we ended up could be good, we found it hard to wade through the water to get anywhere :)
Jon solicited funds from his viewers and he’s showing where the money went AND showing the plight of the people. Why would you have anything negative to say about that? You must be miserable.
Thanks to everyone who helping donated either foods or money. My family home also floods as we live a long the river line down streams. I'm prepare myself for after flood for the clean up. Thanks to Jon and his wife for helping out the community
You guys are real, true heroes. I just want to say thank you as a person who loves Chiang Mai. hopes Chiang Mai recover quickly from the floods.
Thanks so much, really appreciate that!

I would love to move to Thailand (retire from Australia) however the weather really concerns me. Congratulations on helping in their hour of need x
Its not as if Australia does not have extreme weather problems .
@@anthonydowling3356 very true - however where I am situated is not too bad.
@@daniellerichard1385 Where are you situated?
Great job, Jon. You are the only one of the many I follow that seems to be using their channel to help. Thanks.

My hat off ❤
This is really great work. Both . 👍👍👍
It is really impossible to get food or get out of house in this situation.
They say everyone plays the fool no exception to the rules mate but that doesn't stop someone from being a hero good on you mate 😊
Wish i was there to help 🇺🇸
considering the wildlife (especially snakes) and hidden dangers in the water, I can understand why people avoid getting into the water.

I've been here for a month, not that far from you. It looks like it's only going to get worse. The weather for this week looks like all rain
Between the burning season and the flooding why would any retiree choose to live here?
Thai people respect elder and people very kind And the flood season just happened in Chiang Mai for in 15 years.
yea, last year burning season was no fun.
If u wasn't recording it u wouldn't do it though
It's just for TH-cam views etc
Disappointing but yeah I get it
Cringe
