Hiiii Cyn,! I wrapped my hair a few time back to back and that took my edges a bit. I should have known not to do that when I felt some tenderness in my temple area. I haven’t wrapped my hair in years before this. Guess it’s not for me and I’m okay with that lol anyways length retention is going well! I found that paddle brush drying my hair most of the way and then finishing that section off with a round brush gives me optimal blow dry results! It’s nice to find what works best now that you’ve taught us what we need to know. You are right it’s all so simple!!
I also got new sleep shirts that were long sleeve and the way I sleep I could have been sleeping on my arm and that could have been a culprit too. The material of the shirts is not ideal for hair. My edges arent bad-but i definitely noticed the change somewhere between wrapping my hair with that doobie cap and getting new long sleeve sleep shirts. I stopped both and it’s already getting better. So guess something happened between the two of those options. Guess they are both examples of how quick mechanical damage can happen
@@AF-gb6edyes that’s exactly what is was. Use a simple silk scarf your making it so complicated. Just get a silk scarf wrap your hair in a circle and go to bed.

I'm so glad I took time to watch this full video even after more than 10 years being natural. I'm sick of my natural hair. It's shedding so much (I'm anemic and in peri-menopause) sometimes my hair sheds just from mere touching. I've always detangled my daughter's and my own natural hair with conditioner and oil before washing. It seemed to cause less breakage than dry detangling. Now I'm questioning my very existence lol. How do you detangle dry hair?

Thank you for the info as usual. I have 2 questions. To your point about treating hair like wigs, is it wise to flat iron the wax stick into your hair? I know this is common with wigs but I’m now seeing stylist do this on natural hair 😖. Next question, is it ok to flat iron my hair weekly. I have high porosity, color treated natural hair. I blow dry and flat iron on 410, one pass every 7-10 days with no flat ironing in between. It has been working out so far I think but I’m worried about the possibility of damage over time. I do use a leave in and heat protectant. Thank you!
It’s my pleasure. No you should never melt wax into the hair. A wax stick and be used in very small amount at the end to control flyaways. Try to wait two weeks if you wait 10 days you can do 5 more. Get dry shampoo and restyle with a blow dryer. Over time weekly flat ironing will cause weathering long term.
@@SUNkisful My favorites are Kenra’s pearl detangler and Daily Provision because it can be used on damp or dry hair. I also like Mizani’s 25 miracle leave in.
@@nikkilisa5648 even the blow out professor TH-camr talking about the science of hair says that we can. Don’t use any product daily. Your covering your hair with product limits moisture absorption and causes breakage over time from too much weight. Ask yourself why your using the product daily.
I appreciate your channel, I really do however your little rant about relaxers was kind of off. You blamed women for suing the relaxer company because their product made them ill and medically altered. True, no one physically forced people to buy the products however no one knew it would make them sick or medically altered. I agree that the product was made by someone that shouldn't be trusted however you do know that some of those suing were most likely women that started off as children that didn't have a say if they wanted relaxers or not; causing damage to their body at an early age. Companies selling poisonous products should be taken to court. 🤔

Which is the best hair color rinse?
Cyz i don't flat iron i wrap my hair is that ok i am older now and it is easy for me
Serious Question please, you say don’t comb or brush while
Wet and I can do that but when I blow dry with attachment is that the same ?
I said don’t detangle wet. Combing and detangling are not the same thing.

Hi. Question. Is there something bad about too much leave in conditioner? As in using it daily?
Why would you use it daily. Unless you shampoo it out daily your just layering product. What’s the purpose? What goal are you trying to accomplish.

You probably need to up your vitamin intake. Go see a doctor and get a test ran.

Yes, absolutely as long as you use a leave in conditioner.

Hi Cyn, can washing your hair 2-3 times a week cause hygral fatique? I don't air dry.
No, but it will dry your hair out and damage the cuticle over time. Don’t do it unless it’s truly needed. Try not to go over twice a week.
Okay thank you❤
Can you recommend a good leave in for high porosity hair? Is a spray or cream better? Most of the popular stuff is loaded with protein 😢
