It doesn’t matter what branch of the military you are in as long as your serving the country. Y’all need to stop spreading hate between the different branches we are as strong as our weakest link.
Every branch picks on eachother, it's what we do. It's not serious at the end of the day it's all love for your brothers and sisters. The difference between the guard and active duty army is that guardsmen maintain civilian jobs for a majority of the month, training 2-4 days a month and 2-3 weeks in the summer. For example, I'm a guardsmen. My regular job is working fugitive recovery for bail bonds, in the army guard I'm an infantryman. The guard also serves both the state government for at home missions such as natural disaster relief, border enforcement, and riot control and federal government for overseas missions. I've been to the Ferguson riots for the Guard and the middle east for the big army. The basic training for the guard, reserves and active duty is literally the same thing, everyone goes together.

My father served in the Arkansas Army National Guard in the 1950s. He did his basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana the summer of 1954. I asked him what his experience was like in Army basic training. He said he had a great time. He had a few run-ins with a certain sergeant but other than that it was a good experience.
This training is the same across the Army. The training in the video applies not just to National Guard but also to the Army Reserves and Active Duty. Everyone in the Army goes through the same Basic Training. Also, we had to pay $8.25 out of our own pockets for those dumb haircuts and we were required to get one every 14 days during Basic
I served in the Guard (63-69) & we had to get a haircut, (if you can call it that) every week! Then, it was only $.90 a week, but it's one of the greatest 'ripoffs' of trainees!
