I saw a new Tacoma and a new Frontier parked side by side at Walmart. I really like the new Frontier's looks.
This recap does not take into account the new Tacoma and Tundra absolutely tanking in the last month or two due to the engine and drivetrain failures.
I have a six digit bank account and a 25 year old truck……until interest rates come way down , I will continue to have a 25 year old truck and a six digit bank account .
Tim : Please pull out the calculator, sales drop is much more than 18%
For which one?
I think the change to the i6 and new ZF transmission in both the 1500 and 2500 RAM are quietly making for one heck of a truck lineup. I hope people figure that out. Granted, a large part of the sales drop is the horrendous expense of all these vehicles, but I think RAM might be pretty exciting for the next few years. Those HD changes sound excellent as the 2500 was already outstanding and one of the few reliable trucks remaining, the changes mentioned will make it even better.
I don't see consumers figuring that out unless Stellantis wakes up and realizes their prices are too high, or Stellantis sells Ram and Jeep to a company that's actually competent.
With a brand new engine that is not a hemi V8 a lot of people are waiting to see if it is reliable. Just my thought. Plus the expence.
@@richardkent9621it’s been out in the wagoneer (1500 platform) for three years
Really like the Colorado. Didn’t realize it was closely behind the Tacoma in sales.
The Colorado MSRP's are lower and the redesigned truck improved many weak points of the previous generation. Probably helping sales considerably.
It wont be for long. Tacoma is ramping up once it’s ramped up it’ll blow the Colorado right out of the water as it has done the prior 2 generations.
@Bosha92 how much ramping does it need? Dealer lots are full of 2024 Tacomas and have been for a few months now.
@@hochhaul They hybrids have just hit the lots in the last 30 days. Give it a year. Even GM twins went through a "stop sale" to fix issues.
@Dusdaddy A stop sale due to an issue with the supplier's automatic emergency braking. An issue that Toyota and many others know well because they too had to issue stop sales and recalls to fix issues with their AEB.
Honda Ridgeline is down for a recall for the backup camera. Dealers can’t sell their inventory produced before June…waiting on parts.
Gladiator and a manual transmission is a perfect combination. But 4xE or automatic transmission and V6 or 4-turbo hell no! Added cost of adding 4xE to jeeps isn’t going to help jeep sales. Jeep needs to double down on wranglers rugged good looks . With a smaller more affordable wrangler look a like. Isuzu Jimmy size n looks. Plain interior with a ton of capabilities. 4-turbo would be perfect. Even electric. Plus a manual.
Based on your reviews I bought a 2025 Ram from Mark Ram in La. This month
How can chevy and gmc be separate companies when most come off the same assembly lines ?
That’s how they report the information.
I love the maverick price point but it's to small for my family.
4xe adds considerable cost and weight. Two solid reasons for consumers rejecting it.....
The more affordable trucks seem to be faring better. The Tundra has a lot of discounts available and the Silverado and Sierra seem to be easier to find low prices on. Found dealer with a variety of 2024 Silverado 1500 LTZ's with the diesel for 56 to 58k. That's undercutting Ford and Ram trucks in that price range significantly. The Lariat and Laramie trucks in the area were substantially higher.
I'm not sure a turbo four Gladiator is what customers want. I like the idea of better MPG's but not with the current Wrangler 4xE setup.
@Tware8100 the only thing that would get me excited about the Gladiator would be the Hurricane.
It's not shocking the maverick is selling this well. It gets good fuel economy and it's affordable
Honda Ridgeline# had a stop sale because of a recall on the tailgates.
Thanks.
My Honda dealer still can't sell most of his Ridgeline inventory on his lots ... any ideal when will all this end ?
@jimmywalters3071 they started shipping the harness couple weeks ago when got mine. So anytime
Even more amazing that it still outselling the Canyon, how is that possible?
@@IamGroot786 Yeah, and no fleet sales !!
Understand Warren will be on one shift for a month.
Lots of "talk" about EV trucks but they don't hold a large percentage of sales. Nothing really worth talking about until they get bigger in sales.
Honda Ridgeline losing units to Maverick?
Ridgeline has a stop sale currently since May.
Didn't you order a RAM about an eon ago?
A few months ago.
Tim, I'm sure you've heard of the channel butter da insider, he seems to sound a lot of alarms on Stellantis/ new rams, what are your thoughts?
His source is the audio recordings from the UAW meeting of SHAP employees, so the information would be fairly reliable. Clearly there are issues with plant management and purchasing. Short wire harnesses and glitchy modules are an ongoing issues from the sounds of it.
@@hochhaulyeah that's what I've heard. I'm thinking of buying a RAM this year but now I'm worried about those same issues trickling down to Rams also.
I’ve watched a few videos. It certainly seems like some UAW members have an issue with management. The conclusions they draw, don’t make sense to me though.
@@Pickuptrucktalk thanks for the reply, might you be able to elaborate a bit what doesn't make sense? Thanks in advance
@@Infamouscommie The last one I listened to UAW members suggested management wanted it to fail so they could move production to Mexico. Ok. Think about that. Stellantis wants to lose Billions of customer goodwill to save what a few million in labor? That makes no sense.
The Ram 2500 might be the biggest winner from them tanking the ram 1500 👀
Is the 4-cylinder chevy reliable?
It’s been pretty reliable, yes.
@@Pickuptrucktalk That's what I've heard. Been out for awhile too, so the bugs should be worked out.
@@treborheminway3814The GM 8 speed & general electronics in it are what worry me about buying 1.
@@chrisb9478 The old 8 speed was indeed a real nightmare. The new one is better,? It been resigned? Or just updated?!
Yes but it doesn't tolerate neglect or oil changes that are extended out too long. Particularly the combination of very long oil change intervals and lots of short trips and idling time.
Junk!
Which one? All of them?
Tundra up because they were giving them away. Nobody was buying them so they had to give them away.
What kind or how much in incentives were available?
They aren't giving them away...rarely (if ever) do the discounts on Tundras come close to GM/Ford/RAM.
lol...sure, that's it. Giving away Rams as well, how's their numbers? Way up?
@@ALMX5DP My nearest dealer is advertising $4,000 off MSRP. I was amazed because they never sell under MSRP let alone advertise thousands under MSRP.
@@ksorsomeplace If Toyota is offering $4,000 off a new Tundra, the newest half-ton on the market, that's unprecendented and akin to giving them away for Toyota. GM/Ford/Ram have the discounts added into their MSRP's so they really aren't giving them away until you see $10,000 off plus low interest financing.
U need some sun screen so u don't get cancer.
Lol😅
😂 it’s called Rosacea. I wear sunscreen all the time.
