Did this road from the Creede side all the way thru around 2002 , something about it makes me think of it once in awhile. It seemed so remote, was by myself. Liked the deep woods, going up a stretch in woods, off to left a small pond with a baby and momma moose standing in it and a beaver swimming in it. I need to go back there.

Ya have to see it rain up there to really get the definition of continental divide..
When is the best time to go weather wise?
We were there is August I am not sure when they start getting snow maybe in October

Been doing the high mountain passes in CO for many years, the best time is mid July to mid August.
