    Me and my family loved the video! We actually got to visit and ride one day on the Loop about one month after you guys were there. I was surprised at how much more snow you saw than we did on the trails. What a difference a month makes. We saw much more green. I was amazed at the swift weather changes and the shortness of breath there. We were constantly throwing on a hoody and taking it back off. I described Silverton as almost an old mining town theme park. Animas Forks was very cool to imagine how they might have lived there back then. We rode over Cinnamon and California Passes on a rental RZR while we were there. Missed Engineer Pass :( California Gulch and Pass was unreal beautiful and probably our favorite. Love what you guys do. Please keep it up!

    Awesome footage guys. I can look at the San Juan range from my porch. I’ve ridden all of your adventure. Born and raised in Utah 50 miles from Sand Holllow. Visit it twice a year and ride with family that still lives there. Ride in Moab twice a year and have done all the most extreme trails there. Moved to Colorado 28 years ago and spend all my summer and fall in the high country.
    It’s easy to take all this for granted. It was fun for me to watch it through your eyes and feel the excitement. If you ever get back go ride Poughkeepsie gulch on the Alpine Loop. It actually has a section of trial with real rock crawling!

    I’ve always wondered if you guys had been somewhere like this. It’s one of our most favorite destinations. We stay in Lake City when we go. Most of the loop is just cruising but the views are just incredible. Never ever gets old and the camera never really does it justice. You’ll learn that there are some technical trails off the loop that you can take that will scratch that itch, so you can make a week out of it easily. Wow! This was a really enjoyable video. I've been watching various videos of the alpine loop that keep popping up in my feed. This is a drive I could never do myself because of my extreme fear of heights on cliff/edge roads. Maybe if I had a driver experienced driving this trail in a vehicle with a roll cage like yours, I could enjoy it as a passenger. Fingers crossed that I get such an opportunity.
    There's only 2 things I fear in life: extreme heights and rattle snakes... so I moved to CO. 😂 I love that I live in CO, but my fear keeps me from these experiences in the beautiful mountains. 😢 Wondering if hypnosis will help. 🤔

    Was there anywhere to get fuel without trailering besides Lake City? Were you able to do the full loop from your camp on one tank? Thanks for the vid! Looks like a great trip!

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No fuel other than lake city. The loop is only 74 miles so it can be easily done on a tank of gas.

    Was that the million dollar highway . You need to go back to bear pass

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we drove the million dollar highway. Definitely sketchy in spots. Black bear was closed and we were told it’s not sxs friendly. Unless you know local trails where you don’t come down into a town that’s not utv friendly. I know folks who said they trailered there then had someone pick them up but seems like a hassle to me haha. It was closed anyway due to snow but we wanted to try it

    Jesse, Planning a trip to silverton next year. Thinking late August. What do you think about best weather date?

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  ปีที่แล้ว

      We did this ride the last weekend in June. I really liked that the snow was there but some of the off shoot trails were still closed. I think july or august would be best for not having snow or closures.

    Is this doable for beginners? My folks are coming to visit and want to do this very loop starting at the same RV spot in Silverton. I have no experience with SXSs but run a lot of these mountains all around the area so I'm not new to the terrain.
