I just so happened to be staying at the hotel right down the street from where this scene was shot. I got to see the bus erupt into flames for the shot on top of the bus. Very cool to see the final cut.

Rare to see Severide holding a hose. It’s usually the engine crew that does that but I guess they needed all hands knowing that the whole block can go.
While I know Gallo has a talent for thinking up plans on the fly & finding a way to make them work, he should really explain to others who don’t know him well why he does things the way he does & that he does think things through at the same time so that newcomers like Carver don’t think he’s incapable of following protocol cuz I really don’t blame him for getting annoyed here.

That whistling is called a BLEVE. It means the tank is getting over pressurized, and the pressure relief valve is functioning. But it's a clear warning! Clear out!!! A small tank of CNG, the size used on outdoor barbecues, can level a small building!!! A big one, like in that bus, would be really, really, bad!!!
