When Capp told Lt Kidd that Tony was allergic to bees this forced the 51 crew to use liquid nitrogen to get the bees out of there and Tony to wait inside squad 3 and Cruz was not taking any chances with Tony getting stung either
@@mattiejwhite2095 I think he’s doing a great job filling in for Severide while he’s out but then again there hasn’t yet been any word of the Severide coming back yet either
I remember watching a couple of bee situations On the 911 documentaries and they freaked me out a little and this just brought back some of those memories
This reminds me of an incident when I was 10. When my dad, while mowing the lawn, hit a wasp nest and got stung by 30-40 of them. And he’s allergic so he fainted multiple times and me and my sister had to call 911 and he was taken to the emergency room. Very scary time.
"That´s what we have EpiPens for." Well, that was certainly an overly-macho line. Epinephrine is not a cure for anaphylaxis. It is an intervention to possibly keep you alive long enough to get treated in a hospital emergency department.
The writers needs to wake up idk who's writing these last episodes concerning Gallo, Violet and Carver but damn it makes no sense. First Violet kissed Gallo to make another go away and after that Gallo confesses his love to Violet and Violet says that she doesn't wanna mess with there friendship and now she's interesting in Carver ? First of all I don't see in what world they would make Carver and Violet date.... like who's writing all that 🤣🤦♂️🤦♂️
I'm actually not a fan of Gallo and Violet. They have been so hot and cold so I think it's about time for something new. There was NO denying there was some interest in the way Violet was watching
I got stung by a bumblebee in 1974 while on a picnic. If I had been allergic to the sting, chances are I would not be typing out this here message. Yeeeeeesh.
All of my siblings are allergic to bees (Our parents aren't but comes from our grandma) And since I have no idea if i am or not, being in a situation like this would bee pretty terrifying!
So awful and wrong 😞! She would have many more stings than that; when a bee stings, it lets off an emergency signal and every bee around comes running to sting, the swarm would have instantly turned hostile. Secondly, when she put the mask on the patient, that would have trapped bees inside which would then sting the patient's face. Lastly, bees can hear very well, the shouting would have instantly sent them off into a rage. The correct solution is very low pressure foam, it basically suffocates them and gums up their wings. Or if the patient is not in any immediate danger, call in a bee remover with a smoker.
I think she was able to shoo the bees off his face in between cuts. And while it is true that one bee sting will send out an alert, European Honeybees will cease pursuit once someone gets a short distance away. African Honeybees ("Killer" Bees) will attack until someone is almost a half mile away. Them using a CO2 extinguisher was considered a safer option as a smoker could've created an even worse problem (a fire) if they weren't careful enough. Also, Bees do slow down when it gets colder. It may not make them docile like smoke will, but it is enough that they'll either leave, or be stunned. Either way, the plan worked, and would likely work IRL.
Bad writing. Very bad writing. Really one minute on google, and you could find out that all you needed to do was get a new box container of some sort. Find the queen put her in there, and they'll go. But now, let's piss off the bees and do more harm to the guy. There are literally a hundred videos on how to remove bees on youtube.
The problem with your theory is that you have to _find_ the queen, and she's not always easy to find. Their size does range from barely bigger then her workers to about 2x the size, so it's entirely possible they could be looking right at a queen, and not instantly recognize her. Also, colder temps do make insects chill out. It's not _as_ effective as using smoke, but that wasn't an option here.
I never cared much about Tony, but that "That´s what we have EpiPens for." made my day. :D
Pretty ballsy of him, considering the current price for a single pen is probably almost a week's pay for him.
The ambo has EpiPens
He's a civil employee so insurance must be pretty good for him though.

Badum Crash. Good one
Teamwork makes the dream work. I miss Severide but people are shining
Are you really married to Ashley Creger Taylor Kinney my gorgeous boyfriend
Joe Cruz sure does make a good acting lieutenant when Severide is not there for squad 3
I like that Cruz brought his slamigan to break down the wall.
I’m buzzing 🐝 for Chicago Fire 🔥. My girl Stella Kidd is handling her business ❤️
Capp: Bees? Tony's allergic to bees.
Tony: I'm fine, that's why we have epi-pens for.
Cruz: No, forget it Tony. Wait in the squad.
Does anybody else like the idea of Cruz as acting Lieutenant for Squad 3?
acting? He have the lieutenant on his fire helmet and he clearly a fully trained officer now
