In recent years it has gotten into the minds of brides that it has to be the PERFECT dress, the PERFECT meal, the PERFECT wedding. This puts so much pressure on themselves that the meaning of the wedding is sometimes lost. I feel like they want everyone at the wedding to think "oh, that was the most perfect wedding" but hey, in the end who cares? People will remember weddings that weren't perfect because you can't replace love with perfectionism.
I agree! Several things went “wrong” at my wedding, one of them being that the ceremony was supposed to take place outdoors but it poured down rain so we wound up doing the whole thing in the reception tent. But we and our guests still had a fabulous time and nobody cared that it wasn’t “perfect.” The guests will certainly always remember our wedding because it certainly was different!

I have said this before, why do brides take their very opinionated friends with them to view wedding dresses. Surely the bride knows what she likes in her style. Those so called friends are doing a great job of sabotaging this brides wedding dress choice. Drop those two friends i can see trouble ahead with those two before the wedding.

In recent years it has gotten into the minds of brides that it has to be the PERFECT dress, the PERFECT meal, the PERFECT wedding. This puts so much pressure on themselves that the meaning of the wedding is sometimes lost. I feel like they want everyone at the wedding to think "oh, that was the most perfect wedding" but hey, in the end who cares? People will remember weddings that weren't perfect because you can't replace love with perfectionism.

I agree! Several things went “wrong” at my wedding, one of them being that the ceremony was supposed to take place outdoors but it poured down rain so we wound up doing the whole thing in the reception tent. But we and our guests still had a fabulous time and nobody cared that it wasn’t “perfect.” The guests will certainly always remember our wedding because it certainly was different!
