Normally I HATE when the fiance comes to the appointments but he was so supportive and sweet! Even when he didnt like the one dress he did it quietly and just shook his head lol. I feel like it only boosted her confidence that she picked the right dress. They seem like a wonderful couple, I wish them a beautiful life together!

I love when the brides "entourage" is so completely supportive. Her fiance gently let her know when he didn't like something, but also made her feel confident when he loved a dress. I also love to see a mother who isn't overbearing.
They were all there to support her. Nobody else trying to be the center of attention.

I love that they provided encouragement, but also honest feedback when one of the dresses wasn't right.
I loved the groom’s nature, and especially the way you could TELL that his reaction was geared towards his bride’s feelings.
Even when shown the dress he didn’t approve of, I could sense that it was more about it not doing the woman he loves’ beauty justice rather than that he didn’t like what the style of the gown. That man there is a true Class Act. 🤵🏾🎩❤So nice to see two such beautiful spirits found one another. 🏹🏀⛹🏾♀️

As a 6'3", fellow heel lover, I perfectly understand how she feels. Shopping is an adventure when you are a foot taller than the average lady. I am glad she found a dress that is long enough that she loves. She looks beautiful.
I hear you. Being 5’0” is no picnic either. Even petite stuff has to be altered to fit me.
I'm 5'9" & I wear heels every day. I love that she doesn't "shrink" for anyone.
@@RevLeigh55 While I can understand that having stuff altered is definitely difficult, the issue that we face is a bit different. Yours has too much material, but in a lot of cases, very tall ladies don't have enough material and you can't usually add it, so it's a bit more complicated on this end.
I'm only 6'1" and it is so hard to shop. Also, can we discuss the lack of bra options? If the cup fits, the straps don't and if the straps fit, the cup doesn't. So frustrating
I’m a tall woman. I did not think the employees treated this woman with respect.
She took the bad news about the first dress so well because she is used to being disappointed when clothes shopping. Shops cater for a particular shape, so if you are busty, have extra junk in the trunk, have extra junk everywhere, petite or tall like Kia, shopping can be a frustrating chore instead of the fun time it should be.
Yes, my sister is 4'9 and she altered every clothes she wears. It is faster than continue hunting the one that fits her.

I am 4'11, but I'm also extremely busty up top and petite waist down, so I completely get it. It's frustrating and not nearly as fun when all the mediums are too big but the smalls are too small, you start dancing the line of in between sizes and just go with whatever because now you're mad and want to go home
@@skarrlettewinter6669 Oh, I get it. That's why if I go shopping (for anything really, but especially clothes) I want to be alone. I might enter every shop in the mall, then back to shop #1. At this point, I'll make my companions crazy. They will suggest whatever to speed up the process. Then, I would get mad because I dislike what they suggest, and I think they force it to me.

idk why sizing in america is like this. size small only fits up to a cup "c" because clearly women with smaller frames cant possibly have large busts. D+ cup sizes are band size 34 and up only over here and it drives me bonkers. UK/EU sizing ftw

I think its about 1% of women in the United States are taller then 6'0 while men its around 15%. I think tall men are less of a surprise (especially due to sports like Basketball when most are taller then average), but for women being 1% makes it much more surprising.
Because it's not the norm. Simple as that. People will look and be surprised when they see something that's out of thr ordinary It's not rocket science.

The bride said her budget was $3-4k but the dress she chose was $4,600 so add on the extra length and other alternations that dress will be at least $5,600 when all said and done not including the veil and headpiece. So frustrating when they show them a dress out of budget

However you look at it, it is still a heck of a lot of money to spend on something that will be worn but once. Now, if there is a way to repurpose the fabric, that could offset the expenditure (my sister did just that with her wedding gown ..... had a tailor deconstruct the dress and had a simply styled suit made that she wore for church and special occasions.)

After her hesitancy ebbed away and she spoke up more confidently, I thought, "This woman needs her own show. Girls need to see women like her succeeding in distinctly non-trad careers." She's way past telegenic, and she comes across as warm and engaging. Her agent should think about it.
I like the way her husband-to-be looked at her, especially when he saw her in the last dress. Yeah, there was a huge dollop of physical passion, but there was also a respect and admiration of *all* she is, not just her appearance. His quiet, "Day-um" said it all!

My daughters are 5'10 and 6', the eldest wears high heels daily, the youngest wears flats!
She may as well just pay someone to custom make her own dress after trying on various styles.
My sister-in-love Kasha is over 6’ tall. She had to have an extra two feet added to her dress to accommodate for her height. Going for a custom dress isn’t always feasible either. Even if you have the budget.

Oh brother! I'm a seamstress. All she needs to do with dress #1, is to take it to a tailor/seamstress and have them let down some of the tucks and she will have her length. In a pinch (ha!) fabric could be added and the seam hidden in the tucks.
