Discovering Deftones during the pandemic, man, what a journey. I was their top 0.1% listener on Spotify for 2 years straight. Not a song I didn't like. Damn, glad I'm still around to hear them. Just a rush of euphoria and nostalgia. Pure bliss.

I was in my teens when this came out. I remember being with the girl I considered the first love I ever had. In the dark, exploring each others bodies. Nothing existed but eachother at that moment.

Everything about this is perfect. Stef has so many little nuances on these riffs that I wouldn't have noticed without the video and just damn, the visuals capture the vibe perfectly. Chi's bassline on this was one of his best efforts 💚 masterpiece

This is ALWAYS on my curated Deftones playlists. Such a great track.
Started an "Emo" playlist yesterday for a daughter, and after confirming that I (obviously) already included CWaves on it...replaced the audio-only track with this one. Seeing Steph play the songs adds another dimension, where it somehow really seems to highlight the brilliance of Chino - weird, yes...Seeing guitar played somehow brings focus to the vocals?? I call it "dimension-ia".

One of my favorite songs ever. I have very tender memories of listening to this with a buddy of mine while looking at the stars and reflecting on where we were at in life.

As someone who struggled with depression in the past, this song was always reassuring that everything would be fine. I have a strong wife that's always been there for me and Deftones provided the soundtrack to our story. For that, I'll always be thankful for their music, and the influence they've had on me.

When I was young I didn't like SNW that much after Self Titled and White Pony but it really grew on me over the years. SNW is something special no doubt about it.

Probably my favorite album of Deftones. And I listened to their albums in order, felt like it was a great follow up to self titled despite the drama. It also probably has the best drumming performances from Abe Cunningham.

Its amazing what songs Stephen has been able to create for being a beginner level guitarist his entire career.
I wouldn't call him a beginner. He just plays to serve the song, not himself. That guitar playing is always interesting to me.
@@JackBNimbleify I think Deftones would be an even better band if Stephen had evolved at all as a guitarist and added something a little more interesting or complex in terms of his guitar playing. I think its why Chino has felt the need to contribute with his own guitar playing at times.
@@ash8298 Maybe. I think in the context of Deftones,his playing works fine. Yeah he's not playing anything complex but he fits flawlessly into the band,providing textures and a good foundation for Chino's vocals,letting him do his thing without being too busy
