      What a year for rock music 91 was... Was there any other year that played such a significant role in rock music (maybe besides 1969)
      Just on the top of my mind:
      Facelift by AIC and Nevermind by Nirvana
      The Black Album, Metallica
      Ten, Pearl Jam
      Blood sugar Sex Magik, RHCP
      ... and probably many more I am forgetting.

    This is gold. Great to see Jerry and Sean rip it up. It is sad to see Layne and Mike healthy, in their absolute prime, on the wave of stardom & know what happened. I can't say I have ever understood how someone could let a drug overtake their life, but I am not them and they are not me, everyone is different and has different mechanisms to cope with stresses and different vices which can mislead you. I do wish healthy Layne was still here to grace us with more of his vocal brilliance with Jerry. Loved his Mad Season stuff with Mike McCready. Also loved Andrew Woods and Mother Love Bone. Thanks so much for uploading this and part 2. Pure Gold. Much Appreciated.

    I first saw AIC on this tour 2 months after this footage was shot when they opened for Van Halen at the Meadowlands in NJ. At the time, I had never heard of them. That show was an absolute eye opener. I was blown away by the power of the music and the strength of Layne’s voice. As much as I love VH, AIC’s performance is what stood out for me. RIP Layne and Mike.

    • @leilamillin8700

      I saw AIC live also on this tour at Nassau Coliseum in NY. Layne was incredible. I’ve seen a lot of shows in my day and Layne’s voice reverberates through your soul. He barely moves on stage. He just holds the mic (like you saw in soundcheck)and sings his heart out. I remember being blown away by them. I must have been 16. My only regret was being in a grunge phase and not staying for Van Halen because we were “too cool”. Cannot believe I missed out on seeing Eddie play live. We were so stupid.

      Great bass player, underrated even. I think it’s partially because he was only on the first two albums and the we die young and sap EP’s. And the way he was let go just damaged his reputation in the band. He and Layne seemed like such good friends but I guess the business of the band took precedence. Just a shame how it turned out for all of them.

    • @k_ir3868
      @k_ir3868 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think there was a lot of pressure to keep going as they were just breaking through and bands at the time came and go. And also there must have been some serious even if friendly competition with the other great bands of that era. They probably didnt want to risk getting left behind.
