Don't know what you both do for a living, but you're naturals at this and the editing feels pro, love it! Anyway, thanks for all these Iona videos, we're considering a cruise next year with our wee 3 year old (or he will be by then). We've never been on a cruise before, something I've always wanted to do, looking forward to it all the more having watched your videos.
Thank you so much, that's very kind of you. I teach and Wills is head of sound in a theatre. It gives you some skills but we're by no means professional! We hope you have the best cruise ever. Have you decided which itinerary yet? Cheers 🍻
@@PostcardAndAPint We're thinking of the Norwegian Fjords cruise around May next year. Long time on our list of places to go, not quite decided yet as location/time of year means it's notable price jump compared to the European City one you guys did which is awesome value. Probably decide in the next week or so!
@@PostcardAndAPint We booked it! We even went fancy, and booked one of the Deck 9 Mini Suites (as it wasn't much more than a larger balcony room, £40 extra). Because we've a wee one, we'll be stuck in the room a lot in the evenings so wanted a nice space. If it was just the two of us, we'd have done what you did. Kids are expensive!
As we made this it made us want to go back! We were talking last night about what we'd do in each port if (when) we go again! We've got a massive list!!! Cheers for watching 🍻
@@PostcardAndAPint Bruges I've been to about 20 times and never gets tired. Rotterdam I was so impressed by it all and will take time to go again one day. The Pinball Museum is a great place to spend an afternoon at. Enjoy your next adventure 😁
Great to revisit this cruise again with you Guys … You had such fun on this trip and this video showcases both the ship and the delightful stops. Bad weather is no barrier to a good holiday and you both embody that principle 10 times over. And the format and editing kept us watching these adventures all again. …. Cheers 🍻
Ah thanks guys. Thats it, we promise (bar a walking tour of Rotterdam market maybe!! 🤣). Yep, we were a little dubious about a cold cruise, but it was great! We'd definitely sail on Iona again, she's a lovely ship. Cheers for your kind words. 🍻
We will watch as many cruise videos as you make guys! Fantastic editing on this one, was nice to see your trip as a whole, and we are sure this video will be super helpful to anyone planning their own cruise adventure on iona 🛳🙌. We hope this blows up for you two. Bravo 👏 Have a great week, Shell and Pete 😊👊👍
I promise that's it on this one!! (Well apart from a virtual Rotterdam market walk possibly! 🙈). It was fun to put it together as a whole for sure. Cheers for watching and we're looking forward to your next vid. 🍻
What a fabulous revisit and full review of this epic trip. For a minute I thought - oh they are back on NL🇳🇱 - but no! You site for me there for a minute. Well if anyone was doubting whether to book the trip- they’ll now be convinced it’s worth doing. Well done both of you. Loved reliving your dream. 🎉🇳🇱🙋♀️🥝

Superb guys! We loved your Iona series first time round but putting together a video of the whole trip is genius and great for anyone wanting to go on this cruise (and anyone who loves ya and just wants to see what you get upto again like us 🤭) loved seeing clips old and new! Very well edited! Wills thinking he saw a Christmas tree in the reflections and passing more than Dunkirk 😂 my face is aching through smiling all the way through this 😁 it was/is a great P&aP adventure for sure! Not brave enough to have a beer and walk around at the same time. Gotta learn to multi task! 😂 There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. Good on ya being prepared. Belgium beer is so tasty. Great recap!
There used to be a C&A in Amsterdam all through my cruise days - long after they'd disappeared from the U.K. it was my go to! Can't remember if it's still there!! Cheers for watching 🍻
Nice overview. I have booked the new year’s cruise to the canaries. I have question how formal is it in general? Normally dress up means a black jeans and a polo shirt / jumper depending on the weather for me. I guess for the formal nights I need to get a bit more formal? How strict are they with the dress code?
To be honest it's pretty relaxed. Most nights I wore trousers and a smartish top. Formal night is a little stricter (my top had a little sparkle on that night!). I think for chefs table and the main dining rooms you need to be looking formal ish, but you can still eat in the quays and horizon without doing the formal thing! I'd say for each night I dressed as though I was going to a local restaurant and then on formal night just added sequins and a fancy hair accessory and that did the trick! Cheers for watching and have a great cruise 🍻
@@PostcardAndAPint thanks for the answer. Unfortunately I think some stuff I do to my hair will fall under the no fancy dress rule being a bald guy with a beard ;) So I guess a white shirt, tie and a smart jacket is a must at least at the new year eve dinner.
@@sonkeschluter3654 you never know you might rock a few feathers!!! Wills didn't wear a tie apart from the chefs table meals the second it was over he took it off and it went in his pocket for the rest of the cruise. He also hates formal shoes, so we managed to find a pair of sketchers that look like shoes, but felt like a trainer, he got away with those on formal night and they're now called his cruise shoes!
Hang on. I think I've seen this boat before. It's that dodgy Italian boat isn't it. I love the Mediterranean cruises. Is Bremen that city just north of Valencia? The donkey must be a local dish. I am pretty sure I had donkey in Spain once. They tried to tell me it was don coyote or something but I knew it was a tiny horse. Had some schnapps that kicked like a mule too. Do you get to meet Captain Stewbing and Gopher on these cruises? I'm guessing that entertainer you met on the stairs was Julie. I dunno anything about cruising. The closest I've come was The Love Boat. Maybe a cruise across Sydney Harbour on a Ferry. Actually, we did go on a boat to Antarctica once. It was a tiny Russian ice breaker. The cook gave us a tour of his fridge and it was chock full of cabbages. I kid you not. Another crewman invited us to his cabin to drink vodka and he showed us home movies of Vladivostok where they would go out on picnics and drink vodka, pull out guns and shoot anything that didn't move - they were too drunk to hit anything moving.
Hahaha I promise this is it now! (Well apart from a Rotterdam market walking tour perhaps!) - we do like to get our moneys worth! Sounds like your cruise was a bit hairy! I bet Antarctica was amazing, if a little rough experience! Cheers for watching 🍻
